  1. Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin who was in office at the time of HUrricare Katrina has been indicted on 21 counts of corruption. My link
  2. Jamaica? I prefer the private islands under the auspices of the Crown. There are many and all are wonderful.
  3. The Bank of Canada issued notes recently that had the Norwegian Maple Leaf emblazoned on the notes instead of the Canadian Maple Leaf. Whomever made this mistake should be fired immediately. My link
  4. Don't tell the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms but we imported, illegally of course rum, guns, cigars from Cuba, and a host of other things no one is supposed to know about. The rum was the best part of the whole operation.
  5. An accidental shooting at a gun show in the American state of North Carolina has left three people injured. My link
  6. In a move that is destined to get little traction, some Republicans are considering a move to significantly alter the US Electoral College System the American Founding Fathers designed for presidential elections. My link
  7. If you say so. You don't really know what you're talking about here but, again, if you say so. The names of the various "tracks" have changed but the end result is still the same. Again, you really need to get up to speed on this.
  8. Just one more personal attack that I shall not dignify with a response. Just another personal attack from another fan club member. Exactly. The K-1s are from several different ventures. Again, my husband and I don't go into those sort of things because we value our privacy. I do trust you'll understand. Actually, we pay quite a bit extra to make sure we don't have to file the extension and get the K-1s in my the end of March. The foreign income is the most difficult to handle but that is what happens with the various endeavors. Unless the person is question
  9. I know that most are concerned about the American foot ball game tomorrow and whether New England will go, once again, to the final game, but my house is also having some friends over for a dinner party to catch the Arsenal v Chelsea contest in a few hours. My husband and I support Arsenal and cannot begin to say how much we despise the Chelsea franchise and their supporterrs, a dreadful lot they are. So to celebrate both sporting festivities, we are having friends call upon us and entertain with a dinner party of sorts. Finger foods consisting of chicken, beef and pork samplers, and varie
  10. And, once again, you failed to comprehend what I said. The "system" is the American educational system, not my facility group's system. A student has to chose the college track - or no - before she ever even enters high school and it is impossible to graduate from an American high school on time after changing to the college prep program from the technical program. And she may not enter college without the required coursework in the college prep program. You really don't know what your'e talking about here It is much easier to train a college graduate a trade and have a more valuable emplo
  11. Notice that there is no retaliation for the personal attacks from me. The high road is taken by me. If you say so. I know. It is of no consequence to me whether you believe it or not. As long as you keep thinking there is something amiss, I'm happy because I'm living rent free in your head.
  12. Congratulations! That would mean the Duke TIP program. Very well done!
  13. More personal attacks. I have another fan, I see. And is there a reason why you can't point out what I asked above? Maybe ours because you can't? Hmmm?
  14. Then we completely disagree because we are on different pages as to how the system works.
  15. Would you be so kind as to point out where I've blames assault weapons? see you're getting personal again.
  16. Not attacking you at all. But you have to realize that the program you are calling for does exist. It is not what you want because the legislators fix the requirements for coursework for graduation and the schools have no choice but to follow those rules. Those state guidelines are tired to federal dollars that are also predicated on even more coursework. There are very few electives a student had the opportunity to take and, if a student later decides to change and go to college, it is too late because there its so much already missed that is required for college. So the system is stacked
  17. I'm on my phone and the auto-fill did some strange things.
  18. Vocational-Agriculture had been in American education for 60 years. The program LPPT is talking about already exists.
  19. No. No. No. No. Good God. I answered the question as to why a history major needs all those other classes. Nothing else. You are reading into my post thinking I'm answering you. I answered THAT post and NOTHING else. Moreover, there are the sort of programs you are asking about. Unions offer them. The vocational programs at the high schools exist but are not functioning as you like because the legislatures REQUIRE BY LAW the coursework. You need to be having thus discussion with your legislator because that is where the requirements are set.
  20. Wait. You're being a moderator would explain the private messages I've received and had to demonstrate what is what was said. Neither read and follow along very well. So which moderator are you?
  21. Not these tests. These are not the SAT our ACT type.
  22. And that is fine if you don't want to work for this sort of organisation. There are plenty that do and plenty more who do want to work for my organisation but are simply unqualified. When they get the proper qualifications, I will consider those who have the highest potential to meet ourstandards.
  23. Because an education means a demonstration of the ability to be an educated person beyond the absolute functional basics of high school. A 4 year degree shows the next level and that makes a well rounded person capable of communicating with others with art least the basics of the level beyond high school.
