Not attacking you at all. But you have to realize that the program you are calling for does exist. It is not what you want because the legislators fix the requirements for coursework for graduation and the schools have no choice but to follow those rules. Those state guidelines are tired to federal dollars that are also predicated on even more coursework. There are very few electives a student had the opportunity to take and, if a student later decides to change and go to college, it is too late because there its so much already missed that is required for college. The vocational programs at the high schools exist but are not functioning as you like because the legislatures REQUIRE BY LAW the coursework. Because an education means a demonstration of the ability to be an educated person beyond the absolute functional basics of high school. A 4 year degree shows the next level and that makes a well rounded person capable of communicating with others with art least the basics of the level beyond high school.
