  1. Yes, surepip, Frank has made gnocchi from scratch and I remember the production involved. I subscribe to the theory that if Betty Crocker can do it, why should Betty Sparti?
  2. surepip, We've made homemade gnocchi in the past and we have bought the grocery store variety, but I recently learned after my sweet sister sent an "Italian" goodies package that The World Market has some of the best gnocchi I've ever tasted. We just went to the World Market located off of Barrett Parkway and bought some more to have on hand. (We always have spaghetti sauce in our freezer.) Thought you would want to know. Betty Sparti
  3. Frank and I are sorry to hear about Mrs. Tripcony. She was an invaluable member of the Paulding Historical Society back when I was active and I grew to know how kind, smart and lovely a person she was. Sympathies to Jon and Jan and all their families. Betty
  4. We really love Jeffersons in Cartersville on Main Street for wings.
  5. I have had three listings in the last month and they all went under contract by other agent bringing the buyer. I had very few calls from anyone that wanted me to show my listings. I had TONS of calls and showings. (It is a very good time to list right now.) Also, to answer a question you had about Real Estate Agents giving out lockbox codes: Absolutely NOT. She should be reported for that, but if the lockbox code was given out, the listing agent can only give that out to other agents, not unlicensed clients. So, you can't assume in that situation that it was the listing agent either.
  6. Frank and I stopped and got a couple of plates. My word! There was enough in those plates to feed an army! Whoever did the food did an excellent job! So good! Betty
  7. Frank Sparti and I regret that we did not know of Mrs. Watts' passing and would have certainly attended visitation and her funeral. Mrs. Watts was a great influence in the lives of the Sparti children and family throughout the years. It was just brought to our attention by our niece, whose life was also made better by "Mae Mae". Rest in Peace, great lady. Betty
  8. Heaven has gained an angel. Many sympathies for his wife, Ms. Margaret, who was the long-time Director for Helping Hands of Paulding.
  9. Benjamin Franklin General James B. McPherson -- (I'd ask him some questions about his stay in Dallas and warn him to hide some papers in a good spot in the Henderson House so that Sherman isn't the main historian that recorded his military history, especially the Resaca incident.) Albert Einstein Samuel Clements/Mark Twain Charles Dickens Emily Dickinson
  10. Try Helping Hands of Paulding. It will be helpful to all, including the participant. Good organization. Betty
  11. So sorry! Hoping he recovers soon with no after-effects from the accident. Betty
  12. I'm sorry to hear of Mrs. Carroll's passing but her testimony of faith was written in the Miracles of Paulding books One and Two. I so enjoyed talking with her about her faith. I'm sure she will be missed. Betty
  13. We bought a great mid-century modern chair and ottoman there and had them covered. Love that place! Betty
  14. In other words, they are probably after your cat. Sorry my post was so long. Betty
  15. We had six yard cats and they dwindled down to two in the last few months and tonight one of our two males didn't come when we called them to be put into the screened in back porch to keep them safe at night. We are worried about it. (If anyone is looking for cats, these two males are beautiful and sweet: we need to find homes for them before winter. We can't bring them inside because we are allergic. Would possibly pay neutering.) Recently, we had someone out to paint our house and they got aggressive in the day time and came very close to our home calling in that weird way they have. Our
  16. The Sparti's were very sad to hear of his passing, also. We enjoyed knowing him.
  17. Frank and I are very saddened by this news of our former neighbor and friend. He was an artist in his field and took great care of several family members after they passed. He lived a truly exemplary life. Paulding County will miss him. Betty
  18. My first real memory involved betrayal. I was standing in a cloth diaper and wearing plastic pants over them. I'm not sure what else I wore but was aware of the diaper with large pins. I was in a doorway. My Mom was in the next room. My two older sisters were on this side of the door facing and instructing me to say, "Son of a Bit--". My Mom told me from the next room not to say that. My sisters told me to say it again. My Mom told me to stop or I would get a spanking. My sisters told me to say it again. I got the spanking and my sisters disappeared before Mom got there to administer the punis
  19. I'm getting this same treatment at BenchMark Physical Therapy in Hiram two times a week as well as specific exercises. I was having issues with my foot going to sleep and hip sliding out of joint. I haven't had the same problems since I began the exercises they assigned and the dry needling treatment. I do have to qualify that with saying that I also was working at a very exacting job until the end of February for four years in which I was very tense and had to sit at a computer all day. So, am not sure which is helping me most: the fact I no longer have to do that or the treatment. Still, lay
  20. Frank and I are saddened to hear about Dr. Hart's passing. Diane and her family are very special.
  21. We have two that are about that old: one that looks like a Siamese and one that is a beautiful grey with white paws. They were both of the same litter from a pure Black Japanese Bobtail cat that hangs around here. If you will pm me your number or email I can send a picture to your phone or email. They stay outside and haven't been house trained but are really beautiful. They have an older family member. We thought the cats belonged to our neighbors but have been at our house and we've been keeping them fed and put out a little house for them. We are both allergic to cats and can't keep them in
  22. She was such a lovely lady. I'm sad to hear this. Betty
