If the smells coming from my crockpot are any indication of dinner, it should be great .... Rancher's Pork Chops Risotto with parmessan Lettuce, red onions, mushroom and bacon crumbles -- dressing of chosing (I'm doing a balsamic vinagrette) This is a new dinner for us tonight, having a new menu. Hoping it is good. What about you? What are you having? Share please!

Sorry .. I've never done these type of events ... but .... do you expect to walk away the same day/night with the money your charity gets? I know the trash left is crap and I agree, thanks for cleaning up ... but the money aspect ... do you expect payment at the end of day or when receipts are totaled? just asking ....

I completely understand your "smoking is a comfort" message. I was the same way, a way to de-stress or to chill. I quit 2 1/2 yrs ago. Still think about them occasionally, still want one sometimes too. But I just have to keep telling myself NO. If I ever pick one up, I'd be right back at it -- so NO to even one. YOU CAN DO IT. There is a guy on 92 across from the old ADD-A-BOY (just south of 278) who has barrels. Don't know what he is charging but I'm sure someone around here knows. One day we will be checking him out. good luck ...

I wish we had a status on LR & her mom, but I know that would be very selfish and really serve no purpose except to bump up the positive and comfort thoughts --- and I can bump those thoughts all by myself ----> coming at you LR & mom!!! Wishes tonight are that LR and her mom are able to share memories and stories and get some final smiles in together ..... peace.

We did a smoked turkey breast year before last that was stuffed with a rice/orange/nut &?? mixture. I'm going to pull that out again soon and just cook it (and do it smaller - the original one fed like 12-18 people ). But I'll pay attention to this thread as I sure do like new recipes
