I was tired of getting out my reading glasses to read the the tiny print in the channel guide they provided for my new U verse. So, I spent a little time today putting this together for the Uverse TV 300. If it is something you will use feel free to take it. If you have Uverse feel free to leave feedback on how you feel about it. I am happy with the last three days and am looking forward to more of the same. I can tell an increase in Internet speed. OK, I have been home for a little while now and all seems well. Internet speed good, TVs up and working well, they still haven't fixed my phone number but that was a screw-up from the order that we have been dealing with for two weeks now. So, all is well tonight. Now, we just have to learn all the new channels and the bells and whistles!

OK.... 5 and a half hours later everything is installed and working. I am not home so I have no idea what it is like but I can't wait to test the computer speed because I'm sick of all the problems with "Fast Access" DSL

I am having this installed at this moment. They are there with my husband.... I have officially drank the AT&T Kool-aid and I hope I don't regret it. I haven't heard anything negative. I have 5 rooms with TVs and 4 computers. We now have all AT&T = TV, Phone, Internet, Cell....

If it were my child I would either feed her before she went, send her with a meal/snack or tell her to get over herself. If I were you I would respond to the parent with... She can bring something for herself or you are welcome to feed her before she arrives. It's not just you.

I'm with you! Livid doesn't even begin to describe how I would be. When my husband had a stroke and was in the hospital for months... one of the hospitals he was in was Acute care at Decatur. He was in diapers then.. Let me come in and find him wet or dirty in the morning.... Yea, NOT A GOOD DAY for them. I can't imagine how hard that was for her!!!! I know some of the kids abuse the bathroom but that is just crazy! Mine would have walked out.

Neti Pot - I didn't believe it until I tried it. I thought I couldn't do it until I tried it. I was either going to drill a hole in my face to relieve the pressure or try it and I did and it worked. It works to resolve most of my sinus problems. I don't even have to take meds anymore.

I'm waiting for the pictures of the parents.... Do they have lice, bug bites and filthy clothes too? And, I hope they never get these children back. Only $5K on felony counts is just insane. I know innocent until proven guilty and such but there has to be a safeguard for children considered here. They were in fact found this way and, these are their parents. I wonder if there isn't some sort of mental incapacity issue here??

Since I'm almost done I think I'll stick with the job I have! The youngest has two more year of HS (if he makes it successfully through the next two.)... I might make it. Although the oldest keeps turning up at the doorstep like a bad penny! I did this for now. I'm still stuck as to what the original problem is and I may just have to let this one go. This is his.... I am the admin on the machine and he can't load any program without me and my password. I do all installs, updates and new installation. So, I'm not sure what happened. It is an HP and we haven't had any trouble until now. I'm not familiar with how Linux would work as I have only used Windows and MAC OS... This is so very frustrating!!!!

Tried that on both my login and his. No option but today at 4:47.... I'm about to give up. I still don't understand why it is logging him in under a temp profile.

Ok.. the start up is now at the appropriate speed but it still logs him in as a temp and none of his stuff is on his desktop.

Excellent... this worked but I'm confused. The only option it gave me was a restore point for today at 4:47.... and no other option for the previous update.... and all of his desktop stuff is gone... music etc. I'm so ready to pull my hair out! Teenage boys, computer games, music and the Internet!!!! A combination that is giving me a new grey hair every 30 seconds! And... I had wanted to get to a date I could restore rather than a Windows Update ....

He seems to think that it happened after the last Windows Update. What a pain in the arse! I deal with this stuff all the time and I have never seen anything like this with different user login... CRAZY!

Thanks! I'm using Avast and Malwarebytes. It is just real odd. It doesn't do it when I log in as the admin, just his account.

My son's computer has a problem.... I can't find anything with virus or malware scans. On start-up/login on his account only it takes about 15-20 minutes to open windows. I have tried everything and all I get is that it is logged in under a temporary account because it wasn't shut down properly. My only idea left is to restore from a previously working point. At the moment I can't remember how to do that. HELP!!! TIA!

Ditto!!! VERY HOT! I called ahead and talked to the counselor and had my son's schedule confirmed before tonight (subjects/credits). When we got there we didn't have any trouble with the picking up the schedule from the 1st period teacher and finding all the others. I much prefer to get the syllabus/outline from each teacher early as well as supply lists but, I understand the constraints of the teachers and time table this year. Good luck everyone!

I have two KSU students that work for me. They have stopped and talked to him before. They have read the signs and I remember them talking about him. I cannot at this moment remember what they told me about him. I'll try and find out and get back to you.
