Instead of playing the victim of so many threads, why don't you get off the computer and find out where you can help in this situation. JMHO

I don't know if this answers your questions about community or not, but this is my community. I'm not trying to make this thread about religion at all. My church is my community. It filled with folks who are not perfect by any means, but we have a common thread. We love the Lord and we want to help people. We enjoy being together and having fun together, but when there is a need, we do what we can. Examples are we have started an Angel Food Ministry. We have met families in our area who are truely in need and we have tried to help them. The Youth/Students have sponsered a young mili

Shout out to our local hospital ER Staff
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to thewebsterfamily's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm glad you finally found out what you had. Now, you can start getting better. I agree with you on Paulding ER. We have had nothing but great experiences there. I don't ever want to go back, but if any of my family does have to, we know we will get great service. GET WELL SOON -
I'm just gonna order some juice! Wait a minute...that's a different thread. Nevermind!

I can not imagine the speeds cars will go when it's 4-laned. At least passing will be safer...I hope! There are too many crazy folks in a hurry passing on a double yellow! Thanks JJ for the info.

I have a friend who is older than me. I lived with her for a little while late '80's and early 90's. She loved to shop. Everything was a great deal. She worked two jobs to pay for stuff she bought. Her house was neat as a pin. I remember she was having company once and while cleaning she asked me to scrub her bathroom floors. I did. I helped out. We weeded her flower beds to the littlest blade of grass. She was a clean freak. I have visited her off and on, but then once she called to ask me if I could help her clean out some stuff. I said sure. I went on a weekend. I almost did

One More Take on Christina and the SSB
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to mom2dachs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
SS, Wade and Hillary are so funny together. Anyone who didn't see that video for the humor it had, maybe has no sense of humor. It's a joke people!!! My opinion.....was Christina in pain while singing. She sure looked like she was hurting. Edited to add: I have never sang the National Anthem in front of a crowd so I'm sure I would do worse, but I hope I would remember the words. -
Well, she doesn't cook much anymore, but back in the day she was an excellent cook. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I've suffered from a broken heart a time or two. I felt like it was the end of the world. Now many years later I look back on those relationships and think what the heck was I thinking. I'm a pro/con type of person. I make a list of the pros and cons of the breakup. It helps me to see it written on paper. Breaking up and/or getting a divorce is almost like a loved one dying without the people to help you mourn your loss with you. Is is a death of a relationship. So you will need time to mourn. When you get to the mad phase, holler. We always can come up with ways to make him reg

That's great news! How are you feeling?

How dumb am I? Don't answer that please. The craft show is going to be in May not March. I will change my original post. Date is yet to be determined.

This post has been edited to change the month of the craft show from March to May. My church is in the planning stages of having our Craft Show/Yard Sale again in May. I need ideas for a Valentine Dinner at church
Mrs. Jack Russell replied to Mrs. Jack Russell's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for all the ideas. Garlic....I didn't think of the issue with garlic. LOL This dinner will be for adults. We actually have had this type of dinner before, but it's the first time I was asked to do it. The past two years it's been so much fun. After the dinner we have a talent show. Well, it's more like the Gong Show. I have left this event hurting from laughing so much. Then we play a version of the Newlywed game and it's so funny. I think in the past we have charged like $10.00 a couple just to offset some of the cost and we have our nursery workers help with the kids s -
I have been given the job/task of making a Valentines Dinner at my church. I need ideas for some easy, but good things to make. I have some ideas, but would love your input and/or recipies. I'm thinking of giving the option of having Chicken Alfredo and Lasanga with a Salad Bar and a Desert Bar. What do you think of the idea? Give me your imput and recipies. Thanks.

My hubby has said that he wouldn't live anywhere that we coulding have a garden. I agree. Our garden is in our front yard. So was our neighbors. We have a lot of work to get ours going this year. The wooden thingys that we built to string up our beans and cukes fell. We have 6 of them and 5 rotted and fell during the wind storms we have had. Our garden was so low maintence until now. LOL I would love to see the pictures.
