  1. Actually I don't want any credit. The last time someone gave me credit I ran up a $10K tab and it took me years to pay it back. These days I am paying it forward.
  2. Sure. Anyone can order them from the website (the link is above). The Josh Dog site is an independant site and is not a part of the SAL. The SAL gets them from there too. That is where I got the one I have.
  3. I want to clear this up, I/we are not selling these. We get them from the website too. The SAL presents them for free. I only have the one now, but hope we can get more in the future.
  4. Yes, the SAL has given out scores of these (unfortunately) nationally. I only have one right now. I say unfortunately because it certainly is that some children are facing such troubles, but it is good that this can make them feel a little better.
  5. Does anyone know a family with a child facing surgery or is sick and facing a hospital stay and may benefit from one of these: Josh Dog If so PM me.
  6. We were at Earl Small Harley most of the day Saturday for the USO fundraiser. The turnout was not great and the ride was very small compared to prior years. Times are definately tight.
  7. Cherokeewoman, you are so right. That is why want to do this for the soldiers that come back. They deserve to be welcomed home and thanked for what they do.
  8. I don't know. I usually pick up a 30 pack of 12s.
  9. It's your basic hustle. They go around telling everyone that, knowing most will not have a gas can and will just give them a few bucks, and when they get enough they go buy crack or a 12 pack of 40s.
  10. And for the last time everyone, SNOPES IS NOT AN AUTHORITY ON ANYTHING! Not that it is all bogus or that they are always wrong, but I see so many people use that site as an absolute authority on things. Get the real scoop on snopes. They have no research team, no scholars, no scientist. It was basically started by a husband and wife, mainly for entertainment purposes. Most of their answers are just Googled. Anyone can do that. In fact, some of the information on that site is INTENTIONALLY BOGUS just for spits and giggles.
  11. Oh we don't, and we fully understand. My comment above was mainly about how theads about the troops and vets get nominal views, but "What's for dinner" gets 600. We don't take it to heart. Just the way it is. And yes, some troops don't like the attention, which is why we don't impose. We are just letting folks know we are available if they do want or need us. As for homecoming pictures, visit www.alrpost111.com and click on pictures. There you will find pictures of fun times, feel good missions, and the missions we wish we never had to do.
  12. I rarely get a lot of response for things I post about our troops and vets. I thank everyone who has responded. I have a least one person interested. This is something the whole community can get involved with.
  13. Just bumping for the day shift. Please spread the word folks. Thanks.
  14. This is to all the local families who have a loved one serving in our armed forces. If you have a family member that is returning home from training, on leave, or discharge, and you would like to welcome them home with a show of patriotism and gratitude, the American Legion Family of Post 111 would like to offer you our assistance and support. Also, if you know of a local family that has a loved one who has been disabled while serving our country and is in need, please contact us. Times are tight and resources are limited, as you all know, but we will try to do anything we can to help.
  15. One: Take the Riders Edge course at Harley Davidson of Atlanta. Chris Carr and Larry Markowitz are excellent instructors. Two: Ride your own ride. You have nothing to prove to anyone, including yourself. Just enjoy. Three: Always look exactly where you want the bike to go, because wherever you look, that is the bike will go, whether into a mailbox or an oncoming car. The 750 Shadow is a great starter bike for someone is has been off the road for awhile. I started riding on the street again after a 20 year vacation. I was uneasy at first, especially in traffic, but you get comfortable
  16. I can't vote because "The Finger" was not an option.
  17. This is not a trick question, but a serious one. This may have been done before, but if it has I don't remember. I have a very good reason for asking this. Times are very tight, as we all know, and we can't help everyone. There are just too many out there. Just wondering who you would help and why. Go!
  18. Totally not possible. Not gonna happen.
  19. And yet, I still don't give a rats arse......
  20. It is a freking useless strip of cement too close to my house that never needed to be built and serves no purpose. Thanks PC. Freking waste of money.
  21. I don't gots a Harley. I have a Kawabunga. If I didn't have to pay the ex $300 a month I could have bought that Road King I was checking out the other day. Plus the killer woman I have now wants her own bike. I want to give her the Kawa and get a Road King. Somebody needs to finance this deal.
  22. Heck, I just want some money. I need a new Harley. LOL This stuff does get really complicated though.
  23. I nominate Lori at Biker's Gone Wild in uptown Dallas. She is the bomb.
