  1. Saturday September 11, 12pm to 5pm. Catfish, hush puppies, cole slaw, baked beans. $6 per plate. Law enforcement and fire fighters eat free, dine in only. Come out and enjoy a good meal while supporting our veterans and our community. American Legion Post 111 Paulding County 2587 Scoggins Road, Dallas 770-445-2759
  2. The place up by Pate's in Dallas is never open on Monday. Does anyone know where I can sell this stuff near Dallas or preferrably Rockmart that is open on Monday? Google was not my friend in this case. Found nothing. Thanks.
  3. Yes that was us. So far no response on the camera.
  4. Yesterday a friend of mine left her red camera at the Silver Comet Trail during the 4th annual American Legion Riders ride against meth. The camera will have a lot of pictures of the Riders and bikes, and the event at the trail. If anyone has this camera, please contact me via PM so I can arrange to pick it up. Thanks!
  5. It's my fault. No matter what the forcast says, every time I take a Monday off it ends up cold and rainy. It was supposed to be 73, partly cloudy with only a 20% chance in the mountains. Yeah, right.
  6. The old mill on the south edge of town is a great place to browse. If you like country stuff that is. The winery across the street gives out free samples too.
  7. No, the record, as usual, is not straight. See my post above.
  8. Oh, you are so wrong. They didn't even purchase or "engineer" the turning lane coming from Hiram Sudie in the beginning. They came back after the road was built and tried to take it calling it an "easement". I demanded payment for the extra 1/4 acre of mine they were taking and they eventually had to pay. They tore out my field lines in the process of building the turning lane because the were to stupid to realize I had a septic tank w/300ft of line. And trust me, they have not purchased enough land to build another lane. Another lane will take out my entire back yard and bury my entire tank a
  9. Someone defending the airport once said it was a great location because it had easy access to rail and both I-20 and I-75. That person must have had a map from the future, because all the ones I have show it being in the middle of nowhere far from anything. You could make that become true by cutting a spur from I-75 through the Braswell Mtns, to the "airport", and on to I-20 via 101 to Villa Rica, but that would cost...ohhh...200 million dollars.
  10. Bikers remind people every year mainly because most people need a damn lesson in driving PERIOD. I am beginning to think the state should make ALL drivers take re-training each year. Some people are too stupid to ride a lawn mower, much less drive a car. We simply are asking these people to pull their head out of their arse, at least during warm weather. I don't think it is an unreasonable request.
  11. Stupidy isn't transmitted. People are born with it and it can't be fixed. Most of them grow up to work in government.
  12. Trackrock near Blairsville
  13. I have about 10 tires that need to go to the recycle center. What do you charge for that?
  14. Never seen one last for very long. With the economy being crappy and people looking to shop cheaper it might work though. Good luck.
  15. I saw UFO and The Outlaws at the Fox back in the early 80s. Does that count?
  16. American history has always been riddled with lies, fabrications, and omissions. No sense in stopping now. Since this is Texas I suspect that instead of blaming GW for everything they will give him credit for all the good stuff. LOL
  17. It means: "I didn't really want to invite you at all, but I felt obligated, so at least you can do is give me the courtesy of letting me know if you intend to come so I will know to double up on the wine, you useless drunk."
  18. Anyone know the condition of Goldmine Road? I live out there and for some reason it always seems to be worse than other roads. I don't want to crash. Just got hit last week. Not in the mood.
  19. Like I said, we all have something to learn. Thanks for your comments and thanks for looking out for the stupid ones.
  20. Yes there are some riders who just don't know how to stay back from cars and give themselves room. We all have something to learn.
  21. I heard of two car/motorcycle accidents over the weekend in Paulding alone. With spring around the corner it's time to start watching for bikes everyone. Get the word out. Here is some good information for both riders and drivers. Motorcycle Safety Foundation
