How much and can you please keep this bumped every couple of days as a reminder? That weekend is the apple festival, but if gas doesn't come down-we'll be going the mile up the road to you all instead!
It doesn't cost anything to come up and hang out, dance, listen to the band, or just meet people. You only pay for food, beverages, and certain games and activites. We will have a moonwalk and slide for the kids, and other games like we did last year. I plan to do a paintball shooting gallery if I can put it together. Nothing will be very expensive. I will bump this periodically.

The American Legion Post 111 will be holding its 2nd Annual Hoe Down Saturday October 18th from 12pm till 6pm.

We had a great time last year. Come on out. It's cheaper than a vacation.

Only 2 more days! I LOVE meeting fellow Pcommers IRL! It's like a mystery being unveiled!
Don't get too excited. Have you ever actually met any of these people? LOL
I was going to set up a booth for the Legion Riders last year, but I didn't want to pay what they were asking, especially since we are a charity organization.

This is not a plea for help or money, just for information in case someone wants to enter a team or be a sponsor, so I don't feel it needs to go in the Community Chest, but the Mods can decide.

Glad you guys had a great time. I love Savannah. I need to take SC on that tour.

It been my experience that if the last call for alcohol is at 11:30, as it has been, people just leave and drive to Cobb where they are still open. Seems to me shutting it down early in Paulding just causes more drunks to hit the road. I do think we need goverment funded free drunk shuttles to hit the PC bars every weekend. LOL
Seriouly, it would probably save money over all the patrols we have because of DUI, and probably lives too.

It is a wonder the teachers who taught my wild child are not all alcohlics LOL
School would have been a lot more interesting to me if all my teachers had been drunk.

Who wants to bet me a Flo's filet(rare, of course), gas will be $6/gallon this time next year? C'mon...
I know I have never seen so many full size trucks and SUV for sale by the roadside. A few years ago these vehicles were like gold, going for big bucks. Now you can get them for a song. I was searching CarMax the other day for a small 4 cyclinder car under $12K. Nada except for the crappy ones, like Escorts and Ions. Not a Honda, Toyota, or Nissan in the bunch. My son's little 2004 Toyota truck would sell now for almost what he paid for it new.

Ah, another song that reminds me of my childhood.....
Full collar white shirt buttoned up to the neck
Everyone around said he was a major redneck
And his teeth were green, and his eyes were black
And I thought, he was, the devil
He once tied a cord, to the end of a mop
And he would beat me with it, until I dropped
And while I screamed bloody murder he just laughed at lot
Then I’d pass out from the pain
He was 90 years old in 63
I thought his mission in life was beating hell out of me
And I was so glad the day he died
Cause I though, he was, the devil
And all the lies he told, only heaven knows
And everyone he knew, said he was a big Ahole
And though he was small and lean, he was incredibly mean
And I thought, he was, the devil

I may snap!
Never gonna happen. Not enough oil. It's a political game. Prices drop a little here and there to keep the masses waiting...waiting...hoping...waiting...
they are not going back down. Our current oil crisis is just one more example of goverment knowing the REAL answer will give us OPTIONS and INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS! Why would they ever want is to have that? What would happen to their cushy, very safe jobs?...and girlfriends?
They have already discovered that they can get big bucks for it. You will never see even $3 per gallon, IMO, much less what it was just a few years ago.

I think Kennesaw State's continuing ed dept. has one. You can look up their site. Not sure if Chattahoochee Tech does or not.
-
And then when there is a little problem, they come running back to you. Please fix this for me... I just didn't know that would happen.
People do that crap to me all the time. I never have to do it though, because I am always right.

I probably shouldn't give away me best kept secret, but if you love a heavily wooded, very quiet and secluded campground, Trackrock near Blairsville is the bomb. Stayed there a few months ago and plan to go back soon. If you ride, the roads there are great for motorcycles.
-
I know where you can.
Are we talking about the same kind of riding?
-
where the hell did you grow up?
Right here in good ole PC. I mainly rode dirt bikes all over the county when I was a kid. I lived in New Georgia and we could ride all the way to Braswell Mtn. and only cross the pavement a few times. This place was da bomb. I would love to get another dirt bike, but there is no where left to ride it without getting shot or arrested.

I got a skeeter on my teeter, get it off, get it off
I got a skeeter on my teeter get it off
My cousin's got a dozen, you can hear those suckers buzzing
I got a skeeter on my teeter get it off.....
-
My brothers used to tie me up, drag me into the woods, beat me repeatedly, then leave me for dead. Ah, the memories of childhood......
-
Well I do and my boys thought I was crazy. I actually like it with salt and pepper.
I haven't eaten watermelon in years, but when I was a kid I loved it when Dad would bring one home, and yes it got covered in salt. No pepper though.

Winning happens to people just like losing does. If it is going to happen it might as well happen to you, but it is not going to happen by accident.
You make it happen whether you win or lose. Things happen because you know what you want and you move in that direction. You take action, and you get the results. The better action you take the better the results.
There are always exceptions to the rule, but the odes are better for the people who take purposeful, meaningful, action.
Can you relate to that?
Well, since I have been unable to make myself win the lottery, can you help me out a bit? I could sure use the cash. I might even be inclined to toss some your way just for making it happen.

The problem is that our country is a bit over dramatic We are products of our environment. That fear, didn't come from nowhere.
Are you kidding me? Drama in America? Drama on Pcom? No freking way!
-
Just some quick questions. What friggin' country is this? Why is this a discussion? Should politicians and television "preachers" be allowed near women? What bubble of bull@#%& do most of you live in?
There's war raging, diseases, genocide, the planet's in danger, hell dogs and cats are even living together and there's a discussion about teachers drinking? Anyone posting previously show me your PTSA card or volunteer award at school - c ause I'll show mine. Discuss an issue, not crap.
Well, you see, I think this is precisely Blue's point. This is the kind of crap people worry about in this country, instead of the real problems. Stay out of other people's business and focus on real problems or on just enjoying life. Of course, you totally missed it.

Okay still working purchasing my next house and having trouble with one of the property lines.
How much does it cost to get a land survey (11 acres) and can they just survey one side....the other side borders city owned property with a fence that was installed by the city so that side should be accurate, the back runs along a creek, and the front borders a road. It is just the property line on one side that is in question.
Any survey company recommedations?
I have always used Etowah Engineering. I think it cost me about $1000 for 12 acres, but it was pretty complicated. I have used them several times. I highly recommend them, if you can get them out there. They usually stay very busy.

Nope. Haven't been to any weddings lately. Just divorces.
