Do you personally advocate for people who can't afford a 3% down payment to buy a house? That's how we (our nation) got in the mess we're in now. If you can't afford 3% then you can't afford a house. There is NO shame in renting! Rent, save and then buy! You'll be glad you did.

Ah, I knew that question would be asked. No kids of my own yet. I was a preschool teacher for many years, a sunday school teacher, a nursery coordinator, a fulltime live-in nanny and I have 3 god kids. It's not always black and white and discipline techniques are unique to each and every child. What works for one, doesn't for another. You have to find their currency and everyone here is just offering up ideas of what that might be. Whatever the currency, it just has to be consistent! Thank you for sharing. I assume its a given that you must praise a child when they do what is right as well as discipline when the behavior needs correcting. If the child doesn't receive praise for positive things, he/she will act out in order to get attention (whether good or bad).

Hmm...have you discussed any of this with your pediatrician? It's worth exploring just to make sure there are no underlying issues.

Like the other poster said, just make sure its non-toxic. You could use Johnsons baby shampoo, its about as safe as it gets. Questions, are you or your husband using words like B****, etc? Worth asking. I was curious... Good luck to you!
