  1. Why anyone would think it's OK for gas prices to quadruple is beyond me. I prefer to pay as little as possible to get to work, heat my home and buy groceries. But what ever floats your boat, I guess.
  2. Praying for them and all our soldiers, thanks for posting this!!
  3. For those of you that are interested in growing a garden Walter Reeves has a great chart on his site for planting dates. Just click on the Vegetable Planting Calendar and it will bring up a PDF that you can print. Walter Reeves
  4. No, don't start peas inside, they don't like being transplanted. According to UGA, peas should be planted in February. The Almanac says 2/5 & 2/6 or 2/10 and 2/11 are good dates for planting them.
  5. Looks like a great way to garden!! Hijack: Been thinking about you and all that cold. Heard heat wave is on the way, going to be 32 today in Minneapolis. Unhijack:
  6. I was probably photoshopped. I doubt anyone would actually put that on a real road info sign.
  7. Ok so here's a pic of our Tomatocado as we're calling it.
  8. 3:00 (I think). Gonna go check BRB Yep 3:00 Atlanta time.
  9. These two teams have been rivals forever. Watch closely for some rough stuff, no doubt it's gonna happen. Go Bears!!!
  10. Time for PVC to hold up those beans!!
  11. I can't believe a homeowners association can keep you from growing vegetables!! I'm glad I don't live near there. We've had good luck with using some large pots from Home Depot. They need to be deep for the roots to grow. They will have to be watered every day, they dry out quickly. I would just go with a tomato that doesn't get too big, Rutgers, Celebrity, Roma, or Early Girl. Determinate plants don't get as tall. Even some grape and cherry tomatoes can reach 8-10 feet(indeterminate)!! Patio tomatoes are just big cherries and don't have a lot of flavor. IMO We mix 1/2 Black Kow and 1/2
  12. Do you know this as a fact?? Have you actually seen the video?? Or is this something you have "heard"? I seriously doubt this is happening, I'd check my facts before I started spreading rumors. Perhaps there is a reason it's not being "reported".
  13. I have never hijacked a thread And none of my threads have ever been hijacked BTW Have you seen the weather forecast for Tuesday
  14. Awww, I'm sorry, no one has p*ssed me off that bad. In fact I'm quite content right now.
  15. I'm still trying to find out who made Mother Nature so mad!! Do ya think it's all this talk about global warming?? Maybe she's just gonna show them a thing or two!!
  16. I'm thinking the Christians didn't make it an us vs them argument.
  17. Most maps are oriented with North going up. If you look at the map, the legend says North is to the left. Print it and turn it so North is up and it might make more sense. It is hand made. Southern Scarlett, I'm curious where you got the map.
  18. He announced last night he's leaving immediately!! NY Times Now if they would just get rid of Maddow!!
  19. I don't think anyone was injured. The way the tracks are set up there is quite a distance from the tracks to any buildings. What I'd like to know is, have they fixed the tracks?? Are trains running at all?? BTW MrsG, thanks for posting this.
  20. Surepip, I'm very glad for you and your industry. I think people are taking advantage of cheap money, those that have it are very smart to do that. On the other hand there are more that don't have it than do. Until the housing/building industry improves we will have a very slow recovery. I just hope when it resumes stricter regulations are put in place for those purchasing houses. I think everyone should own their home, however saving money and paying your bills on time is the best way to insure you can keep it.
  21. Yea, I saw the pics of the ones placed near the air conditioner exhaust, too. LOL
  22. What ever you want it to be, drivel makes no sense to you???
