Proposed 2012 County Budget is out
Cathyhelms replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
From what I understand there is a called meeting happening tomorrow morning. Think it's to lower the millage rate?? -
Watering them couldn't hurt, they'd appreciate it for sure. And yes, our darker colors bloom later.

Can't wait to see the pics!!

Lowrider, it's absolutely gorgeous!! Not sure which I like best. I love Dahlias, but mine died out eventually. Are those calla lilies? Do they over winter here?? Beautiful!! I know you put a lot of hard work into it, and it's showing out!! You still need some cypress vine on your arbor.

Property Tax Assessments are here!
Cathyhelms replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Yea, property values keep going down and taxes have gone up. You will be paying close to or the same amount of the taxes you paid last year...............our wonderful Board raised the millage rate last year. -
Did they bloom last year?? If so it could be the early heat and lack of rain stressing them. They will eventually bloom. If they didn't bloom last year, perhaps they are not fully developed yet.

I have no comment.

They do have leaves, right?? Crepe Myrtles bloom on "new" shoots, that's why they are trimmed back so hard. Not trimming them reduces the number of blooms but they still bloom. The ones on the West side of the house have no buds yet, the other ones are sending up a few.

We didn't get ours either LR, my daughter that lives about a mile from me did. I guess today will be the day. -
Ours haven't bloomed yet either, the ones on the West side of the house bloom a little later than the other ones because they only get afternoon sun. Be patient!! (running to see if we have any buds yet).

So yesterday at about 12:30 I was on 278 coming from Yorkville driving into Dallas. I get to the turn lane to go to my office and I see two police cars with lights flashing. When I stop to make the left turn, I saw what was going on. There were two young girls that apparently had a flat tire and two of Paulding's Finest were changing the tire. :yahoo: There is absolutely nothing on that stretch til you get to Dallas. The car was not completely off the road creating a huge hazard in a 65MPH speed zone. It was 90 Degrees, those uniforms are pretty warm and they helped those young ladie

9.1% Unemployment rises 2nd month in a row
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Whoops, it flew right over your head................how can it be the "Bush Tax Cuts" if it's a function of Congress?? Perhaps it's you that has a comprehension problem. Your tunnel vision prevents you from seeing the whole picture, you are convinced you and only you are intelligent enough to understand. You really need to read what you type. -
Smitty, some of them have more money than you and I. They will find a way to continue their habit. We are taking care of the kids now, it won't be any different, well except, perhaps, the kids will get better care.

Did GMO seeds help Monsanto steal a farm?
Cathyhelms replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Yep, we always need to pay attention to what's on his desk when he going in front of cameras with his teleprompter. Never let a crisis go to waste. -
The problem that will be solved is people that can afford drugs don't need me to pay for their food. They can use that money (where ever they are getting it from) to pay for their own housing and food instead of on cell phones, drugs and SUVs.

9.1% Unemployment rises 2nd month in a row
Cathyhelms replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh you're talking about budget the Dem Congress never passed............that one?? But it's Bush's fault and not 0bama's. He gets to sign the same bills that come across his desk as George did. Oh and Bush Tax Cuts the Congressional tax cuts that were just extended and signed by the one and only Spender in Chief we have now. A little bit of a double standard, it can't be Bush's if it's not 0bama's. BTW, 0bama has been the President for 2 1/2 years. How can you not know this?????? -
I think most people won't have an issue with it but I have seen too many people using their Iphones in expensive shoes and clothes, walk to their huge SUVs and pay for their groceries with EBT. So they don't have a real job and are eligible for government assistance, they are making money somehow. Those that need assistance shouldn't have a problem with this at all. They couldn't afford the drugs anyway.

I dunno, I have found the Hiram Wal-Mart to have cheaper prices on most things. Well cheaper than the Rockmart one. I know several people that work at the Hiram Store and they are really nice people. I lived here when the Walmart was on Dallas Highway across from Mrs Winners and Pizza Hut. However, I'm not a people watcher, I really could care less what people look like when I'm in a store. I want good prices, reasonable customer service and a good selection. I just don't get why newer is better?? I do most of my shopping at the Hiram store during the day, perhaps that's why

So you're saying the President has no control over spending?? Then it's not Bush's fault we're in this mess, it really was the Democratic Congress from 2006 to 2010?? -
He can go ahead and put in an application, you never know when they might have other positions open.
