  1. La Concina is my favorite but I know some here are not real fond of Mexican food. As long as it's not too far, I'll try to be there. Thanks SS (and I can get the sleeping bag?)
  2. I think different students were given different Presidents, he got to draw Abe Lincoln, another boy got to draw "the one that's on the quarter" I bet those pictures are funny, especially since they probably have very little idea what they look like.
  3. My grandson (2nd grade) said he was talking to High School Students and they got to listen. He said the President told them to stay in school. Afterwards everyone had to draw pictures of all the Presidents. I think I like his teacher.
  4. Yep, the punishment would be for him to sit with YOU and watch it from beginning to end. You then could do the assignment the President suggested, together.
  5. Dang, that trip to Cedarcrest made me not work that day . If it's closer to 278 and 61 I might be able to join you.
  6. Hey quit sending those messages!!! Dang that is totally wierd, they keep moving.
  7. Yep, I guess it is a matter of intrepretation. I don't think the definition of "subliminal" changes when it relates only to "subliminal advertising", does it??
  8. Not sure I understand what you are saying here, because you have a B.S. in advertising and marketing are you the only one capable of understanding this?? When it comes to our children some parents become zombie-like, I completely get that. Their kids, they get to do what they want, just as you are doing. I think there are a good many people that are teaching their children about logic, reason, discernment and discrimination along with the subconscious/unconscious mind in their own way. Just because it doesn't happen to be the way you do it doesn't make it wrong. I still
  9. This has absolutely nothing to do with politics or I would have put it in the political forum.................it has to do with the power of suggestion, messages we hear every day and the subconscious registering in our minds. I think this is a very interesting subject, if you prefer to ridicule me so be it. Perhaps there are some that just might be interested in the concept.
  10. Advertisters use this every day to market a product...............it's amazing how much we see and hear, but don't really see and hear. Video on subliminal messages How they did it is at the end of the video.
  11. So sorry Joe, prayers for a safe trip and healing comfort for you family. (((hugs)))
  12. QST, that is so wonderful. Glad your mom came out so well. Prayer is a powerful thing. Bless you and be safe in your travels.
  13. Happy anniversary to Lppt and Hubby, it's funny how the years fly by. It will be 24 for us very soon. Yep, I found a keeper, too.
  14. Moring Sadie, CreativeOne, Sew it Seams and LtD (get that fever taken care of ASAP)............good morning Pcom. Off to Home Depot in a few then home to cook ribs on the grill:)
  15. Lots and lots of Roundup. If you have pets, they could have it on their fur. MsGaStorm is right, the oil gets transferred from shoes, clothing, pets, garden tools, etc. What about the carpeting in the house, perhaps you should shampoo it as well, and maybe the living room furniture. What ever you do DON'T BURN IT. You can breath it in and get it in your lungs. Round up and continuous cutting are the only ways to get rid of it safely. Sorry, my hubby gets it just by looking at it.
  16. It depends on what time you go. They do have handicap parking but it is limited, they increase the size every year and it's never enough. Saturday until about 3:00 it is usually packed, then it slows down til close at 6. Sunday morning, there are very few people there. Right about 12-1:00 it get crowded again until about 3:00 then it slows down again. If you come during the "slow" times you will get to park much closer, especially Sunday morning. There will be a worship service Sunday at 8:00 am for our workers and exhibitors by our very own St. James Community Church and Pastor Matt
  17. Kids 12 and under are free. The Girl Scouts also provide a play area near the stage, FREE. You can leave the little ones (up to 8 I think) for a couple of hours while you shop and they will be well cared for. They will not be able to leave the Children's Park until you come to get them
  18. All the sponsoring organizations and churches, civic groups that are selling food have tickets. I know they have them at the Chamber, the 4H office by the hospital and the library in Dallas. I personally don't have any but I can get you some if you give me a count. I'll even meet you somewhere with them before Thursday if you want.
  19. Make sure Mrssurepip is close by with the camera.
  20. We certainly have lost a lot of wooded areas in Paulding, right now we have a little over six acres, the guy next us 22 and the ones in front 35............for now we still have our little piece of paradise. If any of this comes up for sale, if I can afford it you better believe I'll scoop it up.
  21. Well I'd bet you couldn't guess nature is my favorite thing. Growing up in Chicago with all that concrete and steel, I think I even appreciate it even more.
