ES, I believe the scientific evidence is flawed, it has been manipuliated to fit the agenda of money hungry folks like Algore. There is substantial evidence of deleting the info they didn't want to use, it didn't fit. There is a lot of money going into hands of folks that use this solely as their six figure incomes. It's about money, not global warming. Do you think the extinction of the Dinosaurs was nature's way of dealing with those pesky animals??

Hope it waits til everyone gets home from work. National Weather Service said it could start as rain and switch over, channel 2 is saying we might get an inch now.........who knows what will happen. Just as long as everyone stays safe!!

TP - Check Milk - Check Bread - Check Firewood- Check Beer - Check Wine - Check Gas for the geneator - ???? Propane for the heaters - check Power sources fully charged- working on it. I think we're OK for now.

I think I'm finally warming up. The video of the guy putting his shorts on as a shirt stopped me from shivering. I never want to go swimming in January again. (well not here anyway)

(hijack) Sorry NJ It doesn't take long to figure out the corruption. I lived in an area that not only ticketed for street cleaning but snow removal as well. Where the heck are you supposed to park when there is 3 feet of snow everywhere?? I guess you might get in one of the parking garages that cost and arm and a leg and take the CTA home. Yep, took me way longer than it should have to get out of there. Back to regularly scheduled programing.

I assure you I was out of that water in a flash........but I forgot which door I went out (there are three on the back) so I finally got back in at door number 2. I probably could have won the grand prize on funniest home videos.

Johnny J, I came to realize about an hour ago..........I will never, ever make it as a polar bear.

The water in the pool is freezing cold.............don't try to get ice off edges when it's below freezing. I hope the clothes that are dripping on the deck don't make it too slippery when it refreezes tonight.

Yes, I lived Chicago for 18 years........they have snow removal equipment and I don't ever remember losing power. Most everything was underground except for the pole in the alley where the power pole came in to the house. I'm not worried about the snow...........my hubby is completely dependent on the TV, he will drive me crazy if we lose power. He doesn't even like to play cards. We have gas stove, gas water heater, fireplace, and vent free gas space heater downstairs. So we can cook, take showers and stay warm, just no TV or Computer. But we do have a generator and I have power

If we lose power, I won't have my computer...........no pcom for me. Gotta run charge my power source, just in case. I can't imagine being snowed in with no outside contact for two or three days!!! We might have to play board games and heaven forbid Charades!! Hubby better get that generator out.

Not sure, the TV is not on..........yep it will be the talk of the town for the next week or so. The Big Storm, or Storm of the Decade, or Storm of the era or something like that. 29 degrees outside and 71 in here, no heat on at all.

Having grown up in Chicago I have posted quite a lot on this city and the corruption I've known first hand. As far as I'm concerned there's not a whole lot of positive that goes on in Chicago unless you "know someone". Well there's the grandkids that still live there but maybe one day their mom and dad will realize what a snake pit it really is.
