  1. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying?? Do rich people not spend money?? Aren't most assets bought and paid for?? What we spend in groceries for 3 months could possibly be what they spend on one meal.
  2. I know it can be quite unnerving at times. However, stay positive and remember that sometimes things are going on that you're not aware of. Sometimes if someone is having a bad day, everything seems worse than it really is. Hang in there and remember, it's keystrokes not face to face conversation.
  3. Did you see where I posted the NG State fair starts the 22nd. Rockmart Bingo is Saturday @7:30 pm
  4. Perhaps it's that way for you Blue, but unfortunately until I see my income back on the + side it really doesn't matter what they say. I care about my economy and my bottom line. Nobody else is looking out for me.
  5. I think it's the end of the month. It starts the 22nd at Jim R Miller Park in Marietta. http://www.northgeorgiastatefair.com/
  6. Well, silly tell them to come a week earlier.
  7. Alright smarty, you got it all wrong. It was the horse and buggy days............dinosaurs were old fashioned by then.
  8. LOL, That '63 Impala was a hand me down but it sure was fun to drive. Well, except when I was pregnant and that HUGE steering wheel wouldn't let me move the seat up close enough to reach the gas pedal.
  9. OK Whippersnapper here's the info on the Bingo. BTW, I played in my 30s. I'm much too mature for that boring stuff anymore. http://www.ildado.com/bingo_halls_usa_georgia.html
  10. I know they used to do Bingo on Monday and Thursday. It's been so long I don't even know if they do it anymore. Have you done Callaway Gardens?? The butterfly house is so cool!! A nice play or performance at the Fox and a Buckhead excursion could be fun. There's a gold museum in Villa Rica.
  11. Cave Spring and the antique shops. It's a quaint little town and the cave is small but interesting. Feeding the fish is a lot of fun and the food is only 25 cents a bag. The trout are huge!! Sorry can't catch them, only feed them. Good for an afternoon trip.
  12. Glad you enjoyed it. It really is a nice, family event.
  13. You're very welcome!! Should have some more squash coming right along in about 3 weeks.
  14. Civil Unions for both same sex couples and heterosexual couples should be all the government is concerned with. Eliminate the tax deductions for married people and children. Everyone cannot have children even couples of the opposite sex. Get government out of the bedroom and all will be fine. Marriages belong in church.
  15. Not right now but if I run out, you'll be the first one I contact.
  16. Tickets are $2.00 in advance and $3.00 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free!! There are a limited number of advance tickets available, don't wait til they're gone.
  17. My eyes are tearing and my stomach hurts, I had to stop looking!!
  18. I hope the economy is indeed improving, however I cannot believe what journalists are saying. I don't even believe some of the economists. Everything seems to be driven by a political agenda, I'll believe in the improvement when I see $ once again flowing into my checking account. America is an amazing place. Filled with people of all walks of life striving to improve themselves, it truly is the land of opportunity. I trust the American people will move us forward eventually. I remain skeptical of what I hear, but always hopeful.
  19. Now LR the good ole days were when we could fill up the 63 Impala for $5.00 and drive around all week. I'm glad to see the falling prices.
  20. While $3.38 is much better, it's still way too high. Was it artificially inflated so when it goes to $3.00 per gallon we think it's a good deal??
  21. You don't have to have car insurance if you don't drive a car. If you live in an area that doesn't have public transportation (Paulding County is one example) you have the option of living somewhere that does. You are not required to drive anywhere but if you choose to you need to have insurance. Not just for you but what about the other people you may take with you?? Car insurance is not a valid comparison to Obamacare. You don't have to drive, it's a choice, you also get to choose where you live.
  22. Yea, the guy in the khaki shirt, green pants and green socks, that one.
  23. Wow, I know I'm jumping at the end of a thread here but I have a few comments about all in this thread. First Auto Insurance is not required by the Federal Government, it's an individual state mandate, if you own a car. You don't have to own a car. If you move to a rural area that doesn't have public transportation, you chose to live there. If you lived in an area that had public transportation, you wouldn't have to buy car insurance. You get to choose where you live, right now where you live is not a government mandate. Next, even if you opt out, you are still going to be paying
  24. Did you recognize the guy in the scout shirt?? The khaki one?? Yay!! I'm glad you went!! :yahoo: I think Dis, jr will have a blast!!
