The person who has assigned a defining label, to you, might not even believe it him/her self, but it tends to stick in the minds of peers. You hear even smart people indulging in this kind of voodoo in order to reduce other people to a predictable set of boundaries. Some people portray their subjective opinion, about a person, as a fact that cannot be objected to. They are simply expressing an opinion instead of communicating an objective fact. If you were to look up the word 'label', you would find it defined as "a term of classification." A label places you within a certain group of othe

The British burned the Library of Congress during the War of 1812. So, on January 26, 1815 Congress purchased Thomas Jefferson personal library, which had 6,487 books in it. It cost $23,950 and was the largest personal collection of books in the United States at that time. Unfortunately, an 1851 fire destroyed nearly two-thirds of that collection. The Chief Author of our Declaration of Independence was, indeed, a smart man, however! His writings lives on.

I remember you being worried there, for a while, D...R! I am so glad you did what you did. You could not have sold your house for a decent price, so you rented it out. I did the same thing. I was worried about what I was going to do, for a time. What you have just said worked for my family, too! I used a nice agent because my home was so far away from where I moved to. Were you able to find an agent, or did you find some tenants who are trustworthy enough that you can handle things yourself?

Do the math. Take the year you were born, and add the age you will be this year. Your answer will be 111.

You right about getting the story, PUBBY! I studied Dale Carnegie material for years. I remember thinking how wonderful it was to know how to catch more flies with a teaspoon of honey than I could with a 55 gallon barrel of gall. But, later in life I started asking myself, "why do I want to catch flies?" Nevertheless, I know what you mean, and I fully support your work, and I love all you do. We are all in this World together, and that include Newt! I just want vote for him, but I'm sure the rest of Georgia will.

I understand that. Nevertheless, I work for Habitat For Humanity, and drive my own vehicle, to and from the job site. Gasoline is not cheap, but I furnish that as well. I worked for 50 years, or more in construction, and paid a lot of sweat and tears into the industry. I know Lawyers are not the way you say they are, J t, because L C has already told me that Lawyers do volunteer work. -

Thank you, ivy! It would be nice if people would congratulate you for exercising a duty of care that a reasonable and prudent person knows he/she owes our society. If that was the case you would not have any angry, because you would be thanking people for the duty of care they uphold toward you. Thank you for being who you are. -

Real property can be condemned for various reasons, with the use of eminent domain law. That is a real estate issue. People can also relinquish their real property by allowing the government to take care of it. For instance a person can allow the County to start taking care of their private drive, and it becomes county property. -

Man is born into the universe with a personality that is his own. Ultimately property rights and personal rights are the same thing. The one cannot be preserved if the other be violated. Each man is entitled to his rights and the rewards of his service be they never so large or never so small. -

In general, ordinary diligence is that degree of care which is exercised by ordinarily prudent persons under the same or similar circumstances. I believe that would be a good idea, dap! Do you really plan to do that, or are you just thinking about it? I takes courses all the time, and I do a lot of homework as well. It help a person. -

Rights, dap! Human rights, Civil rights, Constitutional rights, Privileges and Civil liberties. It's also about Torts against certain unalienable rights of any individual, to not be cut down like a dog, in the presence of due care in a public setting. -

How do you feel about the frivolous law suit Wal-Mart filed against a customer (Lashawna Chenice GOODMAN), which backfired on them? My link -
Gingrich is good for business. He lives up to his last name with a little reversal. If you are in the rich gang you can love him. But, he doesn't seem to be concerned about the millions of people in my video, above. The only thing he is concerned about it what it will cost rich people. He didn't deny being willing to take the risk that 129 million american citizens would suffer as a result of an appeal being successful on the healthcare bill. He was asked that question directly, and said he didn't believe the people who said it would have a bad effect on the 129 million of my fellow citize

Thank you very much, and LC, too! I do think that frivolous law suits are a shame, but companies file frivolous law suits for setting examples, like the case of that happen on Christmas Eve of 1995, which I posted about. where a Wal-Mart customer tried to show evidence that she was not stealing a cell phone, but the accuser would not look at her evidence. But, the court did. I'm so happy to see you in here, Jeanne! Thank you, for your valuable time! -
Wal-Mart conducted a frivolous (which was determined to be malicious prosecution) lawsuit against a customer, and they got sewed back. Lashawna Chenice Goodman sued Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., and its employee Denise Milner, alleging malicious prosecution. The jury returned a verdict in favor of Goodman, awarding her compensatory damages of $200,000 and punitive damages of $3 million. Wal-Mart and Milner filed a postjudgment motion seeking a judgment as a matter of law (“JML”), or, in the alternative, a new trial or a remittitur of damages. In partially granting this motion, the trial co

So due to the difficulty of getting a case to court, there is hardly any frivolous cases ever heard. Is that what you are saying? And, I'm not saying simply getting offended, I am saying repeated and outrageous cut down, with threats attached, that causes a person extreme emotional distress. -

If a person knows enough about the law, LC, to know that he has a case, but no lawyer will touch it because it is political, is there any recourse? Are some legitimate cases not taken because politics would make it difficult to pursue, mo matter how much it violates the law? What makes a legal law suit frivolous, when it's hard as heck to build a legal case strong enough to get it into court, in the first place? -

Do we owe each other a duty of care? I believe we do. And, I believe a breach of the duty of care is a failure to exercise care or to act as a reasonable person would act. Am I wrong? -

I may be wrong, but it seems to me that repeated annoyances or harassments coupled with threats are considered "outrageous." This could be a tort. The legal name of which in the tort of outrage. -

Is a screen name, by which a person identifies him/her self on a website, protected under defamation of character law? If not; how can a person who feels that his screen name has been defamed get amends, or a better word may be an apology? This information may be helpful to website users who want even add valuable input to a website because of personal attacks that are so intrusive to their character, even if it is just a screen name. In some situations, a victim may suffer mental or emotional distress. This could be torturous. A person experiencing extreme emotional distress due -
