Tired of being cut off on Hwy 92 at Bill Carruth
baseballmom replied to baseballmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
No LOL - I filed the complaint earlier in the day.... couldn't get back to a puter to ask for more people to help. Kinda like a petition... There is no cross traffic on that road right now.... what I am talking about is if you are traveling on 92 heading to D'ville and someone turns right onto 92 from Carruth in front of you. I've wanted to send this to Jay Leno -
That's great!!! You know you'll always have our business!!!

Tired of being cut off on Hwy 92 at Bill Carruth

I have never understood why people want to turn left onto 92 without a traffic light... I go out of my way to get to one of the lights. -
Tired of being cut off on Hwy 92 at Bill Carruth

They would have to put in a sensor in that lane in order for them to put a no right on red... realistically most people turn right from that road. All I know is that 90% of the time I get cut off in that location. When the speed limit goes up there will be even less reaction time for the hwy 92 drivers. I am looking for a lot of very bad accidents at that intersection. -
I just filed a suggestion with the DOT regarding the yield sign on Bill Carruth (sp????) for those turning right onto HWY 92. I am absolutely sick & tired of having to slam on my brakes because someone is tired of waiting for the light to turn green. Remember - right now the traffic on 92 "should" be moving at 45 mph, but soon (I hope) the speed limit will be back up to 55 mph. I requested that the intersection be changed to "No Right on Red" hoping that most people will comply with that rule. If you agree - please got to the GA - DOT website & file a similar request.

I would like to know if the power company had anything to do with it. I was helping out a friend with a new business a couple of years ago & the electric company hit him with a $10,000 bill as a deposit just to keep the power on. We tried to get some kind of insurance policy to cover it - but you had to be in business for a couple of years before they would even consider him.

One thing I remember about that day and a few weeks that followed was that people were nicer to each other. There was a respect for others that I had not seen for quite a while. I really miss that...

At least $50 in savings. I don't remember the exact amounts & the paperwork is in his car. But - I know my son is driving safer, lower points mean his insurance didn't go up as much as it could have.

FYI When my son went to this class - yes, there was a charge for the people who had to go as a condition of their probation yes, there would be a bench warrant issued to those who did not attend yes, the FINES were HALVED and the POINTS were HALVED So as far as it is being a "money grab" I will have to disagree with you.

I think she is trying to have them quarterly. When I went they were in the courthouse, 1st floor - where they keep the potential jurists until the judges need them.

Judge Anderson is doing a WONDERFUL thing for the young drivers of this county. My oldest had to attend this last year and I went with him. I HIGHLY recommend this class for any who are getting ready to drive. I believe it is free to anyone except those who are taking it as a condition of probation.

Hamrick resigns. Could Paulding get a State Senator in D-30?

District 30 is basically south of 278 - Buccannon Hwy. ( Sorry about spelling - I am sleep deprived) -

Took my daughter & a couple of her friends to Things Remembered Paint Studio next to Mellow Mushroom on Saturday night... we had so much fun painting (they all chose dinosaurs) and talking! Every table was full - but they never made us feel rushed at all. There are lots of things to paint ( I chose a pitcher) and the bowls, plates & other kitchen related items can be used for food! If you have some creative people in your house - I highly recommend!!! BTW - they have Halloween, Fall, & Christmas stuff available.

Just read.... I'm too flabbergasted for an explanation. http://xfinity.comca...ssive.Campaign/ "The Progressive Corp. insurance group is defending itself against an onslaught of negative publicity after it tried to avoid paying $75,000 to the family of a client killed in a car crash and sought to blame the wreck on her." from AP

I was researching how to infuse Olive oil with Garlic.... all the articles I read say to do this really carefully as the water in the garlic allows bacteria to grow.... I was wondering if anyone has done this successfully.... without getting sick

Yes, It would be better to teach before.... but for a lot of young drivers this is either not an option or doesn't sink in. This program grabs them when they realize that they are not invincible and that they will have to answer for choices (even some small ones) that they make. I don't know why the judge gave probation for a year - like I said earlier, my son, along with everyone else in the courtroom that day that was under 21, was sentenced to unsupervised probation until the day of that class.
-
It was Unsupervised Probation for my son... It was just so he would attend the class and the probation was dismissed immediately after the class. I still have him keep ALL the paperwork from that incident in his car - don't want any administrative snafu's to happen. He was in an accident - not DUI - If your problem was also an offense you can be arrested for I can see why you still have probation. This one was very upsetting... It was mostly video of parents who had lost children due to texting, not wearing seatbelts, messing with the radio.... things a lot of us do wh

When you go to the class the probation is dropped. If you do not attend the class they will issue a bench warrant. BTW - they make sure you are there before the class & you pay your fines after the class. Cash only - I believe.
