I think I am in heaven!!!

This is the 2nd anniversary of Cody's accident. While driving home from the last football game of the season, Cody lost control of his car & crashed into a tree. He hit the windshield, then bounced back into the backseat of the car. He has been in a coma ever since. The emotional & financial stress on his family has been incredible. They have found a therapy for him that has started to word wonders for Cody & hopefully this time next year he will be up & around. I don't think there is much Demi can do to make me like Cece... I couldn't stand the way she treated the other people trying out - especially the ones younger than her.

Just a quick clarification... My son was not in the vehicle. Thank goodness!!!! But his friend is not doing well at all. There is so much more to a coma than they show on TV. The only "good" thing that has come from this is that the rest of the team drive a little more carefully & wear their seatbelts.

"On Friday, November 5th,a team mate of my oldest lost control of his vehicle on Morgan Valley rd in Rockmart. His '05 infiniti G35 hit a tree. The tree came through the passenger side. A neighbor heard the crash and the horn, and called 911. He was life-flighted to Atlanta Medical Center. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. He has swelling of the brain and facial fractures. He had Surgery to remove a portion of his skull to give the brain room to swell. His brain pressure has been up and down and it's a constant waiting game. If you can get USAA I would jump on it. They might be higher than progressive, but I have never had a problem with them. Also, every November, you get a check back for dividend - you are an owner if you have a policy with them!!!

In order to home school, you only have to file a letter of intent with the school board & then a monthly attendance sheet. You have to give them standardized tests at 3rd, 5th, & (I believe) 8th grade. You do not have to have the tests graded or file the grades with any agency.

The new judges have been very impressive so far.... I wasn't really expecting that.

There where very few people there with an attorney. There were a few, but most who plead not guilty did not have anyone with them. Also, if you have had the issue fixed - I would show up with receipts. Maybe Judge Anderson will take that into account. Remember to NOT WEAR SHORTS or any other casual summer wear. You will be asked to leave. Jeans were fine.

This first court date is where you tell the judge if you are pleading guilty on not. Another court date will be held for lawyers, witnesses etc.

My youngest's room is in the front of the house.... needless to say, not only the trash pickup would wake her, but kids at the bus stop - loud cars anything. My solution was to put an humidifier in her room in the winter and an air purifier in the summer. Worked for us!
