my dd got her's when she went into middle school and my now 6th grade son got his for Christmas. I like them having one when they are not with me so I can text/call them whenever I need to. My daughter and son both asked for a phone in 4th grade and I told them no way. Of course I got the but all my friends have them, I said well good for them, not till you get to middle school will you get one. Hasn't been a problem as of yet =)

This is a very scarey thought of that many girls being pregnant at such a young age. As the mom of a 15 year old daughter, we have had this discussion several several times, she has been to a class on abstinence at church. For Christmas she asked for a "true love waits" ring. I was very proud to buy that for her. She wears it every single day and says alot of the kids (especially boys) asked her if she choose to wear that ring or if I made her. She said she gladly explains to them the importance of abstinence and waiting till your married to have sex. Makes this mom very proud =) I h

UPDATE: Just spoke to David and dates were confused when this was set up. He will not be in town next Saturday. He is in KY now with his mom and will drive to S. Ga to spend the first part of the week with his boys. He will be back in Hiram on Thursday. So dinner plans have now been changed to Las Palmas for Thursday evening starting at 6:30. He apologizes for the confusion, and completely understands if people can't make it on such short notice, but he looks forward to seeing the ones who can. Cowboys has been cancelled.
