At 50 I'm fine with me, hubby is fine with me but I am aware that things aren't located in the same place they were when I was 30. I don't like being a large or xtra large, according to the style, on top and an size 8 pants, it makes your clothes hang funny on you but I don't really know much to do about it, I figure no one is perfect so I fit in with everyone else. ** The gifts inside are much more important than the outer packaging.

We have them too, they make me crazy. I have to peek out the back door before opening it to let the dogs out because we see those and the smaller woods roaches on the back deck sometimes. They line up like our back door is the entrance to the soup kitchen. I love our woods in the winter but not so much in summer, we get some freaky mutant looking things out back.

I found this place Thursday, went in to see what it was about and it has to be one of the coolest places I have seen lately. You pull around back and there's a barn, they paved the floor and you walk through it to get to the lawn area, it is very pretty with columns and statues etc. The indoor areas are very well decorated, they have a kitchen but do not cater in house, they do have a warming oven for caterers to use, there's a big diningroom / banquet room area and an outdoor area on the other side, with tables and chairs on the patio. I didn't get a tour, this is just what I saw and f

Anyone have any good home made ice cream

You can. Google ice cream in a bag. I saw recipes for it when I was searching. -
With all the one way streets I always end up at the Varsity. I think they all lead you there, it's a conspiracy I tell ya !

We need Barney Fife out here yelling "Citizens arrest, citizens arrest" and write them a ticket to do community service for being an inconsiderate driver. Maybe a weekend of directing traffic at the intersection where they cheated.
-
Especially when they pull up quick and wait until the last second before braking, if you are passing in front of them you feel like you are about to be t-boned.
-
I do that too, I let people turn in front of me to help all the people stuck behind them in traffic, let people go first if they have less items than me in stores, etc. I am over it pretty much after my words are said but it just seems there are more people every day with that attitude, that's mainly why I posted. It seems like people are just getting worse. It's not the bloopers, we all have those at times, it's the ones that know full well that they are being an a$$, the ones that hit the excellerator to go first. It's not that I'm in a big hurry, it's just the world is changing on

I used to yell (to myself, in my car) "Did you skip preschool, they teach you to take turns !! but because it's everywhere now I usually say something that ends in "you stupid A$$". For the last few days it's been teens and women, some on cell phones and some just laughing or talking to the other woman in the car with them completely oblivious to the fact that other people are on the roads too.

Why do people feel they are too important to take turns at stop signs ? Did they stop teaching this in pre-k ? You pull up and stop, the guy there first starts to go and the butt head behind them follows without the least bit of consideration for the other three people that are waiting their turn. People stting at a stop sign waiting their turn and some one just pulling up decides it's ok to make a quick yield (at best) and continue on almost causing a wreck in the intersection. People turning left after the light is clearly red, not yellow, but traffic moving on the oth

We have one beagle that we were very concerned about bloating tonight because of the #%#*#@ fireworks. He was pacing, panting, his tongue looked like it was turning purple, his eyes glassy and bugged out. His belly got really hard and I wasn't too far from getting really scared, we have lost two to bloat over the years. Finally I got him in the master bedroom closet, laid down with him and started singing him songs to try to distract him a little. He likes my version - Jesus loves the little beagles, all the little beagles of the world etc. I make up songs and change words all

That's why I was out there looking for different recipes. I don't like the thought of raw eggs in anything either. -

Good recipes, I never thought of Cool Whip. My husband is making some now with the recipe I posted. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. (texture / taste etc.) I saw one for kids on Cooks.com I think, it was made with ice & rock salt but no ice cream maker. It was called something like ice cream in a bag. Kinda cool if it works and the kids can put in all kinds of stuff, since it's made in baggies they are making their own portion. -
I have seen a million online, some with flour, that just sounds wrong. I found one I think is good but not sure. 4 eggs 2 1/4 c sugar 2 cans evaporated milk 5 c whole milk 4 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt 1 can Eagle Brand milk What do you guys think ?

We had bbq, chips and pickles. The bbq is from Ingles, the namebrand is Brookwood and is over with the sandwich meat, pimento cheese etc. It's the best "store bought" bbq we have found, actually it tastes like it's from a bbq house, not a store. The tub makes 4 or 5 sandwiches, according to how much you put on the buns.

I went today and found One A Day vitamins inside for $2.00 it was a bottle of 50 tablets, the expiration date was in 2010. That's a good deal. I check the dates at the local grocery stores also after finding outdated items over the years.

Congratulations to you both. I think it's wonderful that the two of you are getting remarried, it is a great "meant to be together" love story. Have a blessed wedding day and enjoy your vacation.

I can't help you but try checking the AARP website for insurance info. and maybe check the Clark Howard website archives to see which ones may be scams / schemes etc. even if they aren't listed maybe you can get some info. that will make it easier to understand. Hope that helps a little bit.

You're rich !!! Ya know, if some rich uncle (that I didn't know I had) died and left me millions I would probably throw the letter away as another scam.

That is funny. Did you print it out for him ?

I'm sorry guys it didn't post (obviously) and I have already reported it as Spam and deleted it from my computer. I kept getting an error message saying Internet Explorer could not connect and when it locked up I couldn't get pcom to pull back up so I thought it didn't post. It was a letter from the FBI stating that there was money being held for me in a foreign bank and since most of these actually had some connection to terrorism they wanted to give me a warning and a chance to "take care of this little matter" before I ended up crossing a line and accepting the fund transf

My favorite was the one about how women can hold their pee and cut it off in mid stream and men can't stop once they start? I cried laughing at that one...
