  1. My Friday vent is that I made it to another Friday but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up and since I'm pretty sure that I'm already grown up, that 's a pretty big problem ....weeks like this - it is SO not like I what I envisioned myself doing/being and yet so far stuck I can't get out...TGIF...the weekend will get me through to Monday...and then to another Friday...and another weekend...and so goes my life! Ah, it feels good to vent!!

  3. Hey Ya'll, don't get to stirred up, Wachovia and SunTrust merged you know, so they have to consolidate and customers of one will be customers of the other as it's all the same...I read this article earlier today and I found the article to be a little misleading as it states Wachovia branches but it does not state if the address is a SunTrust or a Wachovia location...I looked several of the addresses up to see - like the ones on Dallas hwy and Barret pkwy, it's not the Wachovia closing, it's the Suntrust - and this is the same in Hiram I believe...what I found is that if they are closing the ST there is a W close by...and since these two merged one is the same and customers can use either place...whichever is left that is!  :)

  4. oh my, yeah, some I had to laugh at, others I had to say DUH WHAT?

...and in all seriousness...I WAS PLANNING to send it to my family and friends back in the Windy City...until...the last line - okay, you got me on that one!! :)

  5. These were good. And since we're talking oldies here, anyone going to the new line up of free cool 105 legends concerts coming up? First one is in Marietta in mid April, go to the Cool 105 website for all the details, or just listen to Randy and Spiff in the mornings...last years were a blast! And they are FREE, that's the coolest of the cool!! (tip - go early though, it gets really crowded!) ...mabye if enough of us go, we can have our own paulding.com section ????

  6. Outsourcing, you are asking about outsourcing -wow - I could fill your ears full but I'm one of the few still employed by my company here in the good ol U S of A and I'd like to keep it that way for now so I have to fly under the radar on this one (big brother is ALWAYS watching and reading...) but I will say, sheez, if you only knew half of what was going on out there with a lot of the major companies, the plans that are in the works...yeah, you'd be sheezing right there with me.

  7. Hey just pushing this back to the top so folks see it since it's tomorrow the 19th!

Also remember MARCH 5, that's the biggie - POLICE versus FIRE - you don't want to miss that one!

  8. Kelbird, this is for you, I see you say "we" when talking about the nurse helpline at Childrens Healthcare, so I'm assuming you work it/there? If so, I want to shout out a big hearty THANK YOU to you and all your fellow phone mates! I don't want to go into all the details, but the short version is that you have been there to answer questions a few times already for my daughter, who has a less than 3 month old son, and the help you have provided has been a tremendous assett, thank you for being there and keep up the good work!! Clap-Clap - applause - applause - Clap - Clap!!

Transplant, not to ignore you, as this is your post - but mine are grown so I probably can't be much help, now I've got a grandbaby and I know the EW connector urgent care is where my dtr took her son when he was ill recently. Also, as I make mention above, the nurse helpline is wonderful - engrave that phone number on your wall and use it when you have questions, if the help you get is as valuable as the help we got, you wont be disappointed.

  9. Ha, I told myself I wasn't going to watch it this time around, I wasn't going to watch it this time around, I wasn't - aw, whose kidding who - of course I'm watching it! I dunno, but I think that this is starting to PO the #OURcurrentPRESIDENT, don't ya think? He's always been so into education...what an eye opener for him! As for my own opinion, I think it is the person that makes himself/herself what they are, it is not their education or their street smarts, it's their inner drive that pushes them to success and someone without a college education can be successful just as well as someone with a college education may not be. As for the apprentice, I think that if it ends up with one from each team in the final two, #OURcurrentPRESIDENT will pick the college one just cause he believes so strongly in education...we'll see!

  10. Does anyone know if they ever found and arrested the female yet? I think one of the earlier posts said the police were towing the guys car away? If so, what make, model and color was the car - I'm wondering if they guy was canvassing other nhoods too and if so maybe people will recognize the make and model as a suspicious vehicle that was going arount their nhood too and if so, tie this guy to some of the other daytime burglaries that have happened...

  11. Ok, so now I've got to ask - what is the lowest score YOU will tolerate before you STOP eating at a restaurant, or do you not even pay attention to the health scores of the places you eat at??? I'm noticing more and more restaurants not meeting 100, much less even coming close to 90, and I'm wondering if it's JOE PUBLICS forgiving attitudes that are making the scores lower and lower..it almost seems as if the the restaurants are taking the "if the customers keep coming in, why should they bother to improve" attitude. I look for the scores when I go in a restaurant, and I read the comments to see WHY the points were deducted...I've walked out of more than one place when I saw something I didn't like....so how about you, do you give it a glance or do you just take the word of someone else you know that ate there and says it fantastic, even if the place happens to have a bad score?

  12. Hey, figured this is the place to ask about stuff going around PC, have you been sick, what's going around - and don't get gross on my here, I'm really trying to find out if something is going around PC. I had what I thought was the flu thing 2 weeks ago, still shaking the after affects of the head stuff, but it was totally a respitory thing..it may have been a bad bad cold but sure seemed worse than any cold I've ever had and I've had quite a few in my years! Now today I'm hearing that 2 people (adults) I know got the stomache thing going on (vomiting bad)...they don't live together- different houses/families, thought at first maybe food poisoning but they didn't eat the same things yesterday....any ideas on what's going around, anyone else been hit recently?

  13. Everyone needs to look at that list - it's really scary, and really sad...especially the school scores being so low, there is no excuse for that - no matter what the points were deducted for - no excuse whatsoever! But heck, how or why are the schools supposed to be up to par, when WHS isn't - a 90, temp violations - and this is where we are supposed to go to get well?!?
