  1. I have no idea what her financial status is, I do know that as of today she is not one of the people that has filed a law suit. I also have no way of knowing how you can look at a person and tell if they were able to pay for some good attorneys?? Have you read the law suits? What is not ordinary about them? BTW welcome to P.com we seem to have a lot of newbies here lately
  2. If you had been harmed by something and you filed a law suit do you think it would be any of my business to find out who was paying for the law suit. Do know one law suit has been won, One has been appealed, One has not been heard. My concern is, will the residents get justice, Or is the county going to drag out the suits like they have with Surepip? Edited to add.... Do not be surprised if more suits are forthcoming.
  3. Just be still a little while the You Tube will be forth coming from the "Protect Paulding Group" And you will see more than just the sound bytes that the media puts out. Of Course Pubby was there............. But........... Sure he will post his version. My Hats off to Todd Pownall for approaching the Chairman of the Airport authority Calvin Thompson and trying to get him to allow the citizens who had signed up to speak in a timely manner the right to address the authority.
  4. BUT BUT BUT this is seven of the same group that are trying to give us the second Atlanta Airport..... You mean they cannot even run a movie studio?
  5. David is grasping for straws and does not have a clue which way to turn. When he left the meeting today, he reminded me of a little kid that didn't get his way. Hey David folks don't like secret deals at secret times get use to not having your way. You were in the real world today
  6. Todays airport meeting as reported by the AJC *AJC ARTICLE* Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 Delta, big guns fight Paulding airport plans By Kelly Yamanouchi - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Delta Air Lines has no planes and no operations in Paulding County, some 40 miles from its Atlanta hub. But, in the broad, multi-pronged campaign to block plans for the commercialization of Paulding’s airport, the airline is one of the biggest players. No longer is the opposition limited to a ragtag handful of local residents. Joining the fight are at least four heavy-hitting law firms. So f
  7. I thought that was funny also BB use that saying when she knows that she lost the discussion
  8. It appears that Pubby and Beach Bum is more concerned about who is paying the attorney fees , Than what the suits are really about The first suit involves the county using tax dollars to convert our airport for passenger service and then turning it over to a LLC DUH..... How many tax payers want to invest in private company start up? The second law suit has been resolved.. To the satisfaction of both parties Yep we are going to have a town hall type public hearing and the environmental study will be made exactly what was asked for Heck that should of occurred before any law suit was filed an
  9. My understanding the BOC floated a bond for the IBA to do this deal, If so the Austin Boys, Mayor of Hiram CEO/President of the Chamber Blake Swafford and a few more citizens who were appointed by the BOC run this project using tax payer dollars. I believe it was Blake that reported on it last meeting. The IBA has a meeting tomorrow at 10:00 am this would be a excellent time to ask. The PCAA has a meeting at 9:00 AM tomorrow hope we have a good crowd that is interested in this meeting
  10. Pubby you are so far out in left field tonight that you have become funny. it is silly the think that gas is going to $10 a gallon in your life time if it does then this entire world is in a DEPRESSION. Gas prices are dropping NOW, not rising We are importing less oil today than in quite a long time. The USA is producing oil that is being exported as we speak. Now here is one you can go to the back with there is more jobs in Paulding County TODAY than ever before... Dang get your head out of Austins...... Open up your eyes you are being had. Oh my goodness no... only the real weirdo
  11. What is so cool about this post is folks were all so willing to let the county go through all the appeals delays Etc. with the Morrison case and that was okay, and BTW the case still has not been heard..... But it is oh so wrong if someone with deep pockets helps a citizen fight the County.... Wow and want to sue over it WOW just WOW Of course I have always thought some posters on here have some very weird ideas...just saying
  12. mojo413 The BoC ,IBA And the PCAA will continue throwing money into bottomless money pits as long as the citizens sit back and allow it to happen. The IBA has a history of bad deals and yet we continue to allow the commissioners to back the bonds against them. Until we elect some commissioners who have the Backbone to stand up against the IBA, PCAA and the local Chamber of Commerce we will continue to have bottomless money pits in which our dollars will be thrown into. We are now in the first stage of building a CONVENTION CENTER,Of course the Mayors of both towns Along with a majority of
  13. Well I have pretty much been all over the county the past few days and have not seen the first one, Will you take a photo of the sign in your yard to show me what it looks like?
  14. I think it is past time for those businesses that do not support the airport expansion to stand up and be counted. I mean they should tell the Chamber how they feel, If the chamber is not speaking on their behalf.
  15. Everyone should take a few minutes to view this you tube
  16. A good place to meet all the commissioners is the BOC meeting tomorrow At 10:00 Am and 2:00 PM administration bldg. 2nd floor Or if you want a up close meeting 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM at the Silver Comet field 2nd floor on Wednesday.
  17. Beach Bum I cant recall asking for your help.. Having said that June/July 2012 David Austin had been on the Airport Committee for over 3 1/2 years and he was still campaigning on making the General Aviation airport profitable. Three months later he is secretly meeting at a special called meeting in the dead of the night that was not posted on the Paulding.gov web site as even having a meeting, and agreed to convert the airport to commercial passenger airport. He then proceeded to keep this information from the post commissioner whose post included the airport for almost another year and was
  18. If the gentleman had taken the offer to debate Calvin Thompson I am just as sure that the issue would of been thoroughly discussed but he never entertained that suggestion.
  19. No, My main problem with David is saying one thing during a campaign and then doing another thing once they get elected. In June and July 2012 David campaigned for a General Aviation Airport. October and November 2012 he was agreeing, Along with his brother to make our Airport a commercial Passenger airport. Of course some people are okay with a man not being as good as his word. I am not A mans word should be his bond, A promise made should be a promise kept
  20. That is just what post 4 needs, now if we can just get a candidate for Post 3
  21. Beach Bum This is not exactly like you portray A vast majority of these folks are paid to be a part of these committees and represent the citizens of Paulding County . At Least three of the members earn in excess of $100,000 per year plus some have a county credit card and car allowance in addition some are even furnished County vehicles. David Austin for instance salary is Around $125,000 plus car allowance, Plus credit card which is more that what 95% of the citizens he represents earn. In addition he is provided a very lucrative pension plan with health care coverage also. I
  22. We need some kind of a good announcement that will bring dollars in. This money pit needs some new management, REALLY............... the County commissioners need to get out of the movie making industry.
  23. One beautiful part of the system is that all three of the major players in our Government will be meeting this week. All three have refused to call Town Hall type meetings and have maintained silence with the citizens of Paulding County about their roles in the commercialization of the airport and the proposed passenger service Have you had something that you wanted to ask your commissioner about? well come on out Tuesday1/14/14 @ 10:00 AM and if you get a opportunity you may actually be able to talk to your commissioner face to face and question him about some of your concerns. Th
