Heck the BOC and the PCAA think it is free money
-
Yes I did see the 5year plan, No I did not understand where the $30,000,000 plus tax dollars were going to come from.... Did you
-
CPR this process of getting out the truth has just began. You either need to attend some meetings or pay more attention at the meetings. This expansion is slowly grinding to a halt as the tax dollars are being withheld from the PCCA and the IBA

I saw that post, They have blocked some of us from posting on that face book page. Fact is a lot of the pro airport folks feel the same way... the entire PCAA has been trying to silence this group since it was formed, even to the point of running full page ads in the local newspapers. Of course when the news broke that 76% of those Board members were not even residents of Paulding County then for some reason the Chamber quit running ads? This is one of the best, strongest, Grass roots groups that I have been a part of and it is growing everyday. You can see from their face book page that

Nice Green I have no idea what business you have here in Paulding County if any? having said that then their is no way that I could answer your first question. I can say this though if I knew what business you have here/if any I would most certainly not do any business with you even if you were the only person in this county providing this service/product. My Commission Chairman David Austin has a problem when he thinks that some outside concern/person gets involved into matters that concerns/pertains to Paulding County citizens. I have the same problem when 76% of the board of directo

lester ...care to say what people have lost their jobs at the airport?

This Saturday's IBA/Airport Authority Hearing has been assigned to Judge Brantley, from Cobb Co. Join us at the Courthouse on 1/25/14 @ 9:30 am, Room #1, to show your support! Please dress courtroom appropriate (no t-shirts) if you plan to attend. Hope to see you there!!!

No that is not the only difference nice green... We have to pay the increased tax that follow bad investments, we have to pay increased taxes that follow large investments like a airport that requires additional infrastructure needs such as sewer systems, special $500,000 thousand fire trucks to be used for plane fires, roads, maintenance etc. We the property owners have to provide for the bonds that are used to pay for all the additional needs a airport requires. So ................ You must be one of those 76% who want to use the resources of Paulding County to earn a living and want the tax

Sir.... David Austin is one of the 24% of the folks on the Board of Directors that actually live in the County and allowed his name to be used in the ad..... Yep right there in black and white Chairman David Austin also two other Paulding County Airport Authority members name was on this ad as well.... Mayor of Hiram Doris Devey and President/CEO of the Chamber Carolyn Wright. We do have "SKIN IN THE GAME"

Have had multiple problems for two days now I thought Pubby was playing some games with me

Did David Austin mention PASSENGER COMMERCIAL SERVICE in his State of the County address How about Doris Devey or Boyd Austin did they mention any passenger service in their address to the state of the cities. I do believe that those that do not like what is happening at the airport have chose to stay and fight rather than move as you have suggested, that sir was a very callous statement, that quite frankly was totally uncalled for. If your business was sitting at the end of the runway and has suffered a 50% lost in value how would you like for someone to make a silly statement like you
-
They can be involved in county issues as much as they want, but do expect some repercussions from those who choose to do business with those who do not have the little Chamber decal proudly displayed on their place of business. The Chamber who is suppose to be helping the business community are really harming them by getting out and openly supporting the airport expansion both as representatives on the PCAA and the IBA as well as the local media. Do you have a problem with the City of Atlanta South West, Delta, United or any of the other airlines being involved in the discussions of the air

Trying to twist things up eh..... 76% of the folks on the Board of Directors of Paulding County Chamber of Commerce are not residents of Paulding County and as such have no rights to vote for or against any issue that may be placed on the Ballot for a vote for the citizens For that same group to affix their names to a full page ad supporting the commercialization of our General Aviation Airport is really a slap in the face to the citizens that live in or around the Airport and have to live daily with the consequences of what that full page ad brought to the community.. Having said that I

The first amendment gives the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
-
Which obviously means that Gwinnett has an airport board and a Industrial Business Authority that is better structured to allow for better business decisions, And in fact have made better business decisions for their citizens, The Airport Board and the Board of Commissioners had open and transparent meetings and listened to the input from the citizens. Heck here it appears that a law suit will have to be filed in order for the citizens to have their first amendment rights before the PCAA and the IBA. It is so ironic That Chairman Austin, Mayor Austin and Mayor Devey will allow citizen in

To be really fair they were smart enough to not become the second airport for the City of Atlanta. Actually they have a third major highway system going through the county that was just recently opened.
-
Stradial Gwinnett County is by no means living back in the 70's they are and have been a very progressive and growing county with many new business ventures coming to that county each year. Take a tour of the !85 corridor and the new four lane coming from Athens and you will see a county busing at the seams with new growth. They did go through a housing boom but are now growing a job oriented county and with all the needed infrastructure I might add are doing a very good job, They do have a major problem with corruption among the county commissioners but so do we and many other counties that

**IBA/AIRPORT AUTHORITY HEARING DATE, 1/25/2014** So, what are you ALL doing this Saturday at 9:30 am? Come join us at the Courthouse for the IBA/Airport Ultra Vires Hearing! Why Saturday, you ask? Apparently, all three county judges recused themselves from the case, so an out-of-county judge will come to Paulding to hear it! Courthouse, Room #1 @ 9:30 am. See you there!!! Ultra Vires Definition: [Latin, Beyond the powers.] The doctrine in the law of corporations that holds that if a corporation enters into a contract that is beyond the scope of its corporate powers, the contra

Pubby You wrote "The obvious take-away is that the FEDERAL Aviation Administration is more subject to the wants and desires of those in the rest of the nation and less concerned with the protection of the fiefdom that exists in Atlanta. Indeed, one of the reasons that H-J and Delta are so set against this effort is that they are able to hog all the FAA money coming here for their own purposes. Oh, and when you remember that the pot of money the FAA administers largely comes from fees assessed against commercial air travelers and can amount to billions being spent in the Atlanta market (multi

There is also some more Federal money you can Google Paulding County Airport Phil Gingrey and you will find a few more million. I believe you covered what Chambliss gave also the city of Dallas ran I am told by Boyd Austin, Dallas sewerage line to the base of the east end of the runway depending on How far it is ran it could be several million in city tax dollars. This was done on a special bond offering. Of course the BOC has issued bonds for the water tank and other Misc. items. Testimony at the hearing was that another $11 million was needed for the passenger service on several differen

Is this FAA money from the FAA web site?
-
The polling that has been done supports the opposition to the airport expansion. When all the true facts get out and when citizens will be allowed to speak out At the PCAA AND IBA meetings I expect this polling to soar even more.

So you think that the City of Atlanta And HJIA should just roll over and allow Silver Comet Partners to move in and take $500,000,000 in revenue from them? Really!!!! Sounds like a bad business plan to me............. But wait... have you seen the business plan the Paulding County Airport Authority bought into. You do know that was some of the questions that the group wanted to ask don't you???? Really silly and stupid business decision to think that HJIA was not going to compete for the business they have now.
-
Really!!!! are you sure? Seven of the AA board members did stay, Heck they held another meeting Those seven that stayed was what is called the Industrial Business Authority yep seven of the ten on the airport Authority are the members that comprise the IBA. The request was made timely and in compliance with a letter received from the attorney representing the AA. We saw one of your group play to the camera and then run and see Brett Smith and Chat with him. Heck if the AA was too busy to meet then why did Brett Smith not come meet with us? Hell he spent hours meeting with the Chambe

I agree it is not going away, we have already poured $65 million into this money pit, It is time to reassess the airport and see what it is going to take to at least break even. The five year plan that was presented last Wednesday is going to carry the investment to $100 million we know for a fact that the city of Atlanta is going to fight to keep the projected 1 million passengers and will do most anything to keep those passengers even cutting rates below the break even point. The smart thing to do is get some competent folks to run the airport from a General aviation point of view. The peo
