I just drove by downtown Hiram and the building that use to house the antique shop there is GONE. The sign say's building for sale. Does anyone know if the shop relocated or just closed? I enjoyed stopping there, its been a while though. I think the Lodge and book shop has closed up shop too. Sad to see businesses close up in historic Hiram.

That's totally different. DUI check points are one thing, stopping people for no reason is another. However, the LE has to have a reason to stop you. 1984 is here, that is a reality. The America we grew up in is history. The new America is at times offensive and oppressive. I love America and always will. It's we the people who need to change things to turn it around.

And the rest of the country? That's a good thing.

Great point, however, I think the judges who hand down heavy handed, ridiculous sentences for some drug (marijuana) possession is the problem for over crowding in the prison system. In other words the non-violent minor crimes. Like possession. Obama Administration or not, this has been a problem for a long, long time. Decriminalize pot, tax the hell out of it, and enforce the DUI laws.

I think it's reciidulous for those in prison, with twenty year sentences to serve such a long time. People who have tried pot know it is nothing like hard core drugs. I believe alcohol is far worse when abused.
