yeah, you do have a really cool dent in yur noggin I get headaches from cheap hotdogs (all the preservatives I think) cig smoke, long car rides, heavy perfume, lavender smells....

which brings up another interesting point to discuss....did you know firefighters are discouraged from bringing home their fire fighting gear? Its because the smoke particles get trapped in the fabric and can expose their families to dangerous toxins. Maybe calling it 'smoke' is a misnomer, BUT what would you call it instead? Smoke leftovers? After-smoke'?

I am an ex-smoker...I try hard not to preach to smokers cause I hated it when I was a smoker and got preached to, lol BUT I hate smokers who expose children, in any capacity, to cigarette smoke.

ah hell, I have to be the voice of reason...I hate when this happens... 3rd hand smoke is smoke particles that get caught in clothes, furniture, drapes etc. Proven fact that a smoker, who holds a baby, even after they have gotten rid of their cig, the baby is exposed to 3rd hand smoke....the smoke that is in their clothes and on the skin.

oh, and to add one thing...If a child is sleeping over, I ALWAYS offer them to take a shower. My kids are all showering, and I want them to be aware that they are more then welcome to have a shower too...(hubby always jokes and says 'use all the soap you want, we have PLENTY' lol Most kids who stay over, are very happy to shower...like it is some sort of treat for them ,lol And, I would never let one of my kids stay in a house where I wasn't comfortable with THEM showering there.

AGREE, 100% with you...my kids get bathed/showered every single night. I take at least 1 shower a day, sometimes 2 if I get dirty with yard work and such. I can not put my kids to bed dirty...ick. And when they were babies, sometimes they got multiple baths in 1 day...baby wipes just don't cut it some days.

Denise, I think of you daily and pray that you are able to look back and smile at all the great memories of your boys. Farrah held on to her dignity till the very end, what a class act. It is so sad that she passed so young but I am glad she is no longer in pain.
