  6. You have to be a member of the PPC in order to enter the competitions. If you would like to become a member, you can come up at 6:30, join the club and enter. Membership for the year is only $20. Let me know if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer.
  7. Paulding Photography Club FOOD DRIVE for Helping Hands! This Thursday April 22,7PM at 122 Main Street in Dallas. This is also a club competition night. Theme for this competition is Cemeteries. For this competition, we will be accepting non-perishable food donations as payment for competition entries, one food item for each entry. In addition to food items, Helping Hands is also in desparate need of cleaning products, such as dishwahing det. laundry det. etc....as well as any and all personal hygiene items, these will also be accepted for contest entries. We would like to encourage

  9. At this time I believe we have approx. 35 members in the club. You do not have to be a member to attend tonight (or any nights) meeting. You would however have to become a member in order to enter the competition tonight. It would only take 5 minutes and $20 to become a member for the year. Minimum entry size is 8 inches on the shortest side, maximum is 20" on the longest side. Most people enter 8x10's. The print needs to be matted or mounted for entry. Matting is as simple as buying a mat and taping the print to the backside ot it. You need a tag taped to the back with your name
  10. Reminder! Tonight, Paulding Photography Club meets at 7PM - 122 Main Street, Dallas GA. It is a competition night, and the theme is 'Shapes in Nature', judged by Gail Stewart of Thru Nature's Eyes Photography. If you don't enter, please come out and watch...listening to the critiques is always a learning experience.

  14. Bamagirl, glad you learned something new, I really enjoyed teaching the class and look forward to possibly doing a follow-up class at some point Tess, I am glad your daughter felt welcomed! I didn't have as much time to mingle with the new people since I was busy teaching and then answering questions afterwards. Please tell her to introduce herself to me next meeting!   15. There is no cost to attend tonights meeting. If you decide you like our club and want to join, it is just $20 for the year. You have to be a paid member to enter any competitions. Our classes throughout the year will vary from beginner level to more advanced techniques. I believe we will be having a class in the next couple of months on shooting in manual mode. The meetings usally last a couple of hours, occasionally we run over or finish up earlier.   16. Reminder that the PPC meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7PM. We meet in downtown Dallas, across the street from the fountain on the square. The address is 122 Main Street. Each month we will have one 'educational' meeting, on the 2nd Thursday, and a competition meeting on the 4th. Tonights meeting will cover beginning Photoshop and tips on taking your photos from 'straight out of your camera' to a more finished polished look.   20. I think its a tiger Salamander, my kids find those around my yard alot Set him lose tomorrow when its at the warmest and he should be able to find shelter.
