The Associated Press is reporting (click here) on an encouraging development in Baptist life: an upcoming summit combining =the other Baptists.= There are actually more Baptists that are not affiliated with Southern Baptists than there are Southern Baptists. This event, coordinated by former Presidents Clinton and Carter, offers a chance to harness those numbers and reclaim some of the historic principles for which Baptists were known before 1980. -

What a joke!
The Chairman has always been accessible. He has responded to emails from me late in the evenings (10:00pm) before. A few years ago he said that he didn't see himself running again, but times change. He is the only incumbant that I would vote for. -
Yes, she quit and she is on trilptrol now. It is a cousin drug to tegratol (hope I spelled these close to right).

Well our 4 year old has been on three Tegratol, kepra and now trileptol. The kepra controlled her seizures well, but her behavior was aweful. It made her VERY aggressive!. Now she is back to normal. Just a fairly common side effect to look out for. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure that a 2007/2008 calendar hasn't been drafted yet. Probably has something to do with the logistics of opening NPMS and NPHS (9th grade) and building availability. There has been some speculation that the calendar as Paulding has known it in most recent years will be much different. -
I teach Sophs and Srs.- HUGE difference between 16 and 18!
Why? Most 18 year olds are not significantly more mature than most 16 year olds I've met. The problem is experience, and an 18 year old who is just starting to drive is no more experienced than a 16 year old. Heck, based on what I've seen on the road, there are some 35 year olds (and older) who need their licenses revoked. -

I know it was a new thing but I had to agree that it wasnt good. The "live nativity" was a bunch of fake sheep, a horse, and llama?
Anyway I know it was the first year so maybe it will get better. If you say it is from 7-9 have things ready at 7 and not 7:30...and to quote the late Loyd Bentson of Texas:

Finally, some good news for today!
Plane Flying For Revolutionary GuardA Russian Antonov-74 (file photo of type, below) belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) crashed during takeoff Monday from Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, killing at least 30 IRGC members and six crewmembers.
Local media reports say two survivors were pulled from the wreckage and taken to a nearby hospital. State television says one of those passengers later died from his injuries.
It is unclear what may have brought the aircraft down. ABC News reports a police officer told the state-run ISNA news agency one of the plane's engines failed due to "technical problems" when it was still on the runway, causing it to veer, hit an obstacle and explode.
IRGC Commander-In-Chief Yahya Rahim Safavi earlier stated the crash may have been the work of saboteurs -- comments he later denied.
"I see the possibility of any kind of sabotage in this accident as weak, and if I have been quoted in that regard I deny it now," Safavi later told IRNA and Fars News Agency.
The aircraft was heading to the southern Iranian city of Shiraz on a military mission, according to a statement by the IRGC.
The accident is the third fatal aircraft crash this year in the Islamic state. As Aero-News reported, an Iran Air Tour Tupolev 154 caught fire after landing in Mashhad, killing 28 people. In January, 13 military officers onboard a Dassault Falcon 20 were killed in a failed emergency landing attempt.

One of our guinea pigs has a bad cough, we think it could be a lung infection but we don't know anything. My wife also needs some dental work done and we dont have the money for both taking the guinea pig to the vet or the wife to the dentist. Chances are the guinea pig will die if we don't take her but the wife could also live with a tooth ache. Need some prayers. Tonight we are going to get some cans and stand at a busy intersection and raise money for the guninea pig, hope that helps. -
To all who have tropical plants such as palm trees, banana, and citrus trees, it is time to get ready for winter!
Now if you have the hardy banana and palms then unless a winter from you know where comes, all you need to do is mulch them a little heavy. Same with the citrus trees. Good luck and heres to another nice winter!

Well I have had all my lights up since Jan 1, with one exception. I decided to leave the lights on my palm tree up at the road. They are white and its kinda different.
