You may not want to hear this,and I understand.But I believe the only way to control a feral population is by trapping and killing them.I know you wince at that word,just as I did by typing it. But let's look at it this way,if you trapped,fixed and returned the cats,we still have the problem of cats roaming the neighborhoods.Those cats will still be walking all over peoples cars and trucks,stnking up the flower beds.Those cats will learn where bird feeders are and lie in wait to ambush. Oh yes I do,and it dang sure ain't by turning "fixed" cats loose.I can certainly fix any cats in my yard,the leash law applies to cats as well,my fix will not cost taxpayers anything.

Whether it's an airport or a pro sports stadium,when government gets involved and takes over,folks feel like they are being run over.Their opinions are not being heard,and frankly I'm surprised there has been no violent retaliation. A friend of mine has hit hard times,I have extra eggs every week so I give them to him so he doesn't have to beg from the government.....Not patting myself on the back,that's what we as neighbors should do for one another.......not have it forcefully taken from us and handed out as big brother sees fit.
