  1. I'm going out tonight but last night I cooked a pork loin. I rubbed it with a mix of Cajun spices and brown sugar before I put it in the oven. I also roasted some fuji apples and sweet potatoes for sides.
  2. Absolutely. If you live in an area that is designed to where everything is within walking distance people will get more exercise. People who live on and operate farms tend to get more exercise and consume far less processed foods. People who live in urban sprawl areas such as Metro Atlanta tend to drive everywhere. When expenses like gas rise in price, people tend to consume the less expensive and quicker to cook processed foods.
  3. There is so much information that it's hard to tell the difference between truth and rumors. Here's what works for me. I've been told that kidney stones are a build up of calcium that our body can't process. Our body uses vitamin D to process calcium. Vitamin D is best absorbed from sunlight. In order to pass (dislodged) kidney stones you MUST intake excess fluids. For most people beer (in large amounts) is pretty fast acting. My recommendation to pass the current stone and prevent more is to DRINK BEER ON THE BEACH! Woohoo!!! Have fun!!!
  4. He was such an inspiration. He was a champion who publicly beat cancer. He and his foundation have raised millions in the fight against cancer. I always thought of his as amazing. Now I'm not so sure. He has been stripped of all 7 titles and banned from competitive biking for life. Was he a doper? Now, there are many bikers who have said, "Yes." I haven't heard there is any physical evidence -- just testimony. To take away someone's lIfe accomplishments and reputation without physical evidence of wrong doing is extreme. If this is true, why didn't all these people speak up much earlier

  6. Yes, that's why I asked earlier if anyone knows whom the original allegations were against. I'm not asking so much about the warrant but the complaints and other issues mentioned in the press release. Does anyone know if they were interested in one individual resident and what that person may have in the residence without the knowledge of others or were they specifically interested in anyone and everyone that may be there? I do not know any of the individual's involved. It seems as though several members here have fond thoughts of the deceased. With that in mind, is there a possibility tha
  7. For those of you who knew the deceased, how bad was his arthritis? Did he have the ability to raise his arms above his head or only to an outstretched position? When he moved were his motions jerky? Could he control his motions or did he have to concentrate an move slowly to achieve certain positions? I'm wondering if it was a symptom of his disease that made him appear non compliant or aggressive. I'm just trying to make sense of this.

  9. The Escalade escorts the Corvette on a flat bed trailer.
  10. Were the original allegations made against the deceased, one of his sons, or just an unnamed resident at the given address? Just curious.
  11. I got that from reading the press release. I think it's posted here on page three.
  12. That's interesting about Douglasville but it has nothing to do with this situation. To answer your question... Law enforcement is handled in many ways. Sometimes it's gentle and sometimes it's aggressive. Anyone who is a LEO has chosen a career where they may walk into life and death situations daily. Many do their job exterememy well, while as in any job, some don't. Because these enforcers have the ability/duty to brandish and fire weapons, put an individual in handcuffs, and initially determine whether or not an individual should be taken to jail they must be closely monitored. To mai
  13. No, but my Ba-donk-a-donk is a little larger than I'd prefer. I'm working on it though.
  14. Okay, the report raises even more questions for me. When the deceased was shot he was standing in a dark hallway, raising his hands, and holding a black shiny object. He could have been holding his cell phone, his wallet with identification, or any number of items. It turned out to be a can of pepper spray. Note: pepper spray is not a deadly weapon. The report does not indicate the spray was dispensed so I will assume it wasn't. As I read the report I am led to believe the shooter made the decision to kill a man based only on his fear of the unknown because, at that time he did not KNOW
  15. The state of Georgia has put that system in place for every child care center that provides transportation in the state of Georgia. Enforcement is the problem. While many centers are wonderful, there are still some that only complete the forms at the end of the day or don't do it at all. It is a good system only if the daycare owners and directors utilize it.
  16. May god bless you and give you strength to handle all the turmoil in your life right now. I fear this may be a long road for you.
  17. You are correct and I agree with you 100%. Please go back and read my words. That's why I typed, " in the article... it was stated". I did not type that the article stated it as fact, I did not even indicate who made the statement. I did that on purpose so that there would be no indication of my opinion regarding whether or not the person making the statement is reliable. That is for you to decide when tou read the article. In the next sentence I typed I guess we'll have to wait to see if it's true. Then I ended with how I hope this gets cleared up quickly. I can't help it if So
  18. According to an article from the channel 2 mobile app this morning, it was stated that there were no guns in the house and no drugs. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's true that the police shot and killed a 60 yo, unarmed, arthritic man. I hope this gets cleared up quickly.
  19. Yes, I and every other American citizen are the base of the problem when we can't come up with a better choice for leader than either one of these azz clowns.
  20. Winner? No, just a whole bunch of losers. How ridiculous is it when people aren't able to get a clear picture of a candidates stance because they have to bob and weave through spiteful attitudes, gestures, and inappropriate behavior? You have to ask yourself,"Are they really that easily emotional or were they just putting on a show and trying to play alpha dog?" I expect better from a president no matter who that shall be. I am angry to admit that I will not cast my vote on whom I believe will be a great POTUS. I am being reduced to voting based on party lines. Even though there are a
  21. I couldn't watch your video because after seeing the picture I had to run and throw away the banana I was eating for breakfast.
  22. How do you know who will be appointed? Is there already a published list or do you have a crystal ball? I am a supporter of educational options. I am undecided as to whether or not this vote will help, hurt, or make any difference. It all comes down to whether or not we trust our locally elected officials to do what is best. That may be harder to do if the best people weren't in the running at election time. If you were able to cast your vote for a candidate that shares and acts on elevated standards, then you should be able to trust them. If you voted on your local officials based on w
  23. This is horrible to say, but unfortunately it is necessary. Have an attendant "help" guests place items on the gift table instead of allowing them to do it themselves. Have that person make sure all the envelopes are put in a secure and non visible location. I have heard far too many stories of disappearing monetary gifts at weddings. It is so much better in the long run to remember your wedding as a joyous moment rather than a game of Clue.
