Just my opinion, but I told him last year it was a bad deal. It would never happen. Dallas doesn’t want progress and certainly not alcohol. They have the perfect setting for restaurants and a vibrant night life but the ones in power don’t want it and the citizens don’t want it. What McCrackens has done, IMO, has rehabbed and refurbished a building they will have to abandon because they won’t be able to get the needed sprinkler system and the good ‘ol boys uptown have a new building to sell to one of their buddies. Of course I could be wrong.

It’s all about politics. More illegals, more democratic voters. I mean, look how horrible the republicans are trying to secure our borders and calling MS-13 “animals”. They must have a blue wave mid term so whatever it takes.

Just to go to Cherokee to go gambling, you’re sending them right through the heart of a nightmare of traffic. I never even go to Gatlinburg that way. I go to Cherokee and go across the mountain and get into Gatlinburg on the bottom end. There’s always traffic but not like sitting in Pigeon Forge for two hours just to get to Gatlinburg. You’ve got them going 3 hours out of their way just to go to Cherokee.

Sometimes we have gone I-985 up to Dillard to eat and then up through Franklin and Sylva into Cherokee. They’re all nice drives. You must eat at the Dillard House in Dillard, GA. It’s right at the NC line and there’s so many water falls in that area up to Cashiers and other areas. The Dillard House is self sustaining and they they grow they’re own food. And they have very nice rooms to stay overnight with pools, horseback riding and a small petting farm.

It’s been so long since I went but I think we would go up to Blue Ridge to Morganton and take 60 to Murphy to Bryson City to Cherokee. It’s a beautiful ride especially in the fall. That’s the route we take and go across the mountain to Gatlinburg. But Gatlinburg and Pigon Forge is always very crowded and coming in off the top end from I-40 will have you sitting in traffic for hours. We always go in the back way to Gatlinburg and it’s even crowded certain times of the year. Just like there’s a back way into Helen. It’s all an adventure. Pay attention folks. Thanks for the link Sound Guy, but you need to know that when you go to vote, if you select non-partisan, you wont have any candidates to vote for. Only Judges, which are all unopposed as usual. You NEED to select Republican or Democrat to vote for candidates. This is a PRIMARY. When the GENERAL election is held you can crossover and vote for whom ever you wish. I hate political tricks. DO NOT CHOOSE NON PARTISAN IF YOU WANT TO VOTE FOR COMMISSIONERS ETC. .
