You know the really sad part about this "new security check" is the fact any and all documents can be forged. Everytime I have gone I've seen older adults that were born and raised here having to fork over any and all documents they could find. I don't see it solving any problem at all. If you want a license, welfare and food stamps, you will find a way to get the documents you need, even if you are illegal. There are people that will provide those fake documents for the right price.

I was reading the baby should be ready to fly in 11-12 weeks. I also read mortality rates are high for eagles. Approximately 40% of young eagles do not survive their first flight. Once the young eagles have fledged (to acquire the feathers necessary for flight) they remain around the nest for four or five weeks, taking short flights while their primary feathers grow and strengthen. Their parents still provide all of their food. The young birds, with the exception of their color, resemble their parents, but are nothing like them in behavior. They hav

Dear people running for political office...
lowrider replied to The Texture's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My grandson got his voter's registration card yesterday........ I'm going to take him with me to vote!! I remember the first time I voted when I was 18. The line was long, it was cold and raining and it took a long time to get in to vote for Richard Nixon. I try to explain to him how important it is for him to vote, to voice his opinion. I'm just trying to help him develop his opinion LOL -
I expierenced the same thing when we first did the changeover.............on the left click on "past 24 hours" and you should see all the post in the last 24 hours.

Sooo, the man that killed his wife i!n the Beauty Salon, gets a bond?

I'm really hoping a bonding company will not take the risk and they rot to hell in jail. Especially the SOB that repeatedly beat his son until he finally killed him. Maybe he will get his in prison. -
You can't renew online with the new law in place that requires proof of birth, SS Card and residency. And if you've been married and your name is different than your birth certificate, you have to have your marriage license. And it has to be a real birth certificate with the raised seal, which can be ordered online. Once you have submitted the required documents and issued a new license, then you can renew online. The only way you can do it online is IF you've been issued a temporary 120 day license because of missing documents. According to the DDS.GA.GOV site: Skip a Return Tr

My grandson just turned 18 and had to upgrade. I did it online, but you will need the exam date from his license. I did his for 10 years. Just go to the DDS.GA.GOV site and you will see how to upgrade from a D to a C.

Those Cherokee great-grandmothers were mean, I had one too. I actually had an oval tub that would sit in the sun during the day and get warm for me to take a bath, in the summertime of course. The rest of the time it was a bath at the kitchen sink. I still have my grannys round wash tub she used on wash day, which was always on Monday. -
Sent you a PM, I have a tenative pickup tomorrow. Wil let you know if it falls through. Thanks!

No chit! Just think, in Douglas County if you get caught you just retire and draw a pension off the taxpayers back. Oh, that's right he had to pay back $4,000. What a joke. -
There's not one in Rockmart, it's in Cedartown where the jail is. There's also one in Cartersville that folks say is quick. If you look on the DDS site it will give you the locations. I would never go to Cobb. I haven't been to that one in 40 years. It was nice when we had the one in Villa Rica. It'll be nice when we get the one here.
-
Actually we found the Carrollton office to be faster and nicer. Cedartown has been rude the last two times we went there and the room was packed. One time was 4 hours.

I wanted to put this here so everyone could see it, and I would rather someone on here have the items than me take them to the Goodwill for re-sale. Send me a PM Includes shorts, shirts, green short set, underware, and 1 pair of new socks. Some pajama tops and CARS long sleeve pajama top and pants.

I saw this on the news a couple of weeks ago. Then last night they updated the fact that someone on FB had raised $91,000 for her DEFENSE. What defense? I'm with you on this one, the children are the victims. I understand she needed a job and she had an interview, I think that's why she's getting sympathy, but you STILL don't leave children alone in a car.

I understand what you're saying, but it makes no sense. Why does it take 6 months for an autopsy? Seriously? Besides that, there was the fact that there were visible past injuries, plus plenty of documentation from DFCS and teachers and associates concerning the abuse. Didn't he admit to beating him? What is the problem with using common sense as a JUDGE setting the bond so high that he can't get out? Doesn't a judge have that perogrative as a JUDGE? So come to this county, kill someone and you'll get a bond. And you might get off................ What the hell!! Again, I use -

Hey, I'll top you on this one. Now my granny had a real nice gas stove but our nearest neighbor down the road had a wood burning stove to cook on. Yep, she added wood and cooked on that stove every day. And they had a coal heater. It looked a little like this one........ -

I saw on the news where the child killer got a $25,000 bond because he's been jailed for 6 months with no indictment. Why has there been no indictment? What's the problem? The hold up? So now this violent man is going to get out of jail, find his ex-wife and kill her and possibly kill the daughter he had in his possession. I hadn't heard about the man that killed his wife. Sometimes I wonder about Judge Beavers..................... -

My grandparents had an outhouse. And the wringer washer was out in the smoke house, where they hung hams and bacon from the pigs they killed. Monday was wash day and they would heat water outside in a tub over a fire. Then they hung the clothes on a clothes line. I was still living with them when my great grandmother lived with them and I remember when she ran her hand right through the wringer. It hurt her, but she was ok. It's a wonder it didn't break all the bones. My granny used to hang my grandaddy's pants in those metal frames to crease them. Lord ,I remember her sprinkling clothe -

Me. I remember hearing my granny in the morning shaking the burnt coals from the night fire getting ready to make the morning fire. When it was real cold, she would get up during the night to keep the fire going all night. Good Gawd, my grandaddy would add so much coal, the pipe would burn red and granny would swear he was going to burn the house down. And the billowing black smoke coming out he chimney! Me again. Horsing around and tried to catch myself by putting my hand on the stove pipe I was eight and remember it like it was yesterday. And yes, this was a trip to the hosp -
Who was looking for the Grease Pot, that you keep on top of the stove?
lowrider replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yuk, I didn't think of that. I let my grease cool and then seal it in a baggie and put in the fridge. Big difference. -

lowrider replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The only grease I save is bacon grease and I always put it in the fridge. I know, I know. For decades our mothers, grandmothers etc. put it in a grease pot on top of the stove. But it can and will go rancid if you don't use it soon enough. Since I don't cook with bacon grease that often(Usually just cornbread) , that's why I put it in the fridge. I like the little pot, may have to go get me one. Thanks for the location. -

My favorite movie; my favorite quote. On a side note, if they're running for an office, they need to be able to answer the questions and take the heat. God knows, you've taken more than your share of criticism and bullying on here, a site you provide for FREE so that folks can put you down every chance they get and they're still doing it. -
That's it, thank you.
