  3. Every year we have different types of birds passing through on their way up North I assume. This morning I saw 3 male Grosbeaks. Last year we had five, 3 males and 2 females. I tried to get a picture but couldn't We also have Indigo Buntings passing through and later we will see some Summer Tanagers. They're all such pretty birds. THIS IS THE MALE GROSBEAK INDIGO BUNTING: SUMMER TANAGER

    Dear Pubby

I really wish I knew what was going on around here..........................
  6. We have lots of bluebirds houses and they nest every spring. It's the daddy that feeds the mama and the new babies when they're born. And it's the daddy that takes them out to fly and help get out on their own. I've got lots of pictures of the daddy and 3 baby birds. I don't know how many eggs they lay, but they always have 3 baby birds.
  7. Congratulations You use your brain equally

  10. Rumors? I have that album. 1977 Fleetwood Mac
  11. And I just couldn't resist adding: Upgrading Education to cabinet level status in 1979 was opposed by many in the Republican Party, who saw the department as unconstitutional, arguing that the Constitution doesn't mention education, and deemed it an unnecessary and illegal federal bureaucratic intrusion into local affairs. However many liberals and Democrats see the department as constitutional under the Commerce Clause, and that the funding role of the Department is constitutional under the Taxing and Spending Clause. The National Education Association supported the bill, while the Americ
  12. Well, you're going to have an issue, because I just see it getting worse. You can thank President Jimmah Carter for The Deparment of Education becoming a cabinet-level department on October 17, 1979.
  13. Well, thank you, but I am getting old. But I don't look it!!! If that helps LOL (who am I kidding anyway)
  14. I probably should have worded it differently, but you know what I mean. Maybe the late seventies/early eighties it really started to change. I didn't have any kids in school until the eighties and they were in private school until I couldn't afford it any more LOL Public school was a shock by 1989 when they started. . I think Beverly Hall proved that point. And I totally agree with the rest of what you said. I wouldn't stress my kids out about it, but I sure did a lot of praying LOL
  15. Congrats to them all! I think Bill and Hillary will both be great grandparents! And I don't she'll run for lots of reasons, but mainly she may want to spend more time with family. I love my grandbabies!!!!!
  16. Will do! He is such a sweetie!! And you know he's a man now!!! His birthday was week before last. He school choiced to SPHS for next year, his last year, and I can understand why. We're right on the line and he went to PCHS and his friends went off to SPHS. He wanted to switch this year but since I missed school choice, I just didn't and couldn't. It would have taken an act of congress. We met with his counselor at SPHS this afternoon and she is wonderful. I can't believe the difference of attitude between the two schools. And I mean everyone I met. His counselor this year a
  17. Thanks, again. That's what we put the first time. Then dumbfounded, I changed a couple up, got the lower score, changed up again, lower score again. Like I said, it's driving me nuts I've been emailing a teacher in Birmingham that is grading this, and this particular quiz was stuck (whatever the hell that means) and we couldn't even get to it until she cleared it. I think the system is faulty. I've sent her an email and haven't heard anything. .
  18. Simple, right? Nope. That's what we used the first time and got 6 out of 10 points. Switched a couple up and got 4 out of 10 points. I swear, I just don't know. And I HATE THE FREAKIN' website they're using this year. Just to get to it you had to create a log-on which took you to another page, which took you to another page. And it's so hard to navigate. And I'm not the only one. I was talking with one of the counselor's at SPHS today and a lot of the kids are having trouble with the website and the tests. .
  19. I agree with you. I keep wondering why they keep changing the way they teach. When I graduated in 1968 I think that was the beginning of the end..............we were smart, very smart and it was simple, old school. Now our nation has some of the dumbest kids in the world and they keep messing with it. And the new math, it's a CROCK!! And so are the CRCT tests.
