  1. According to FOX5 weather, the storms are over, but the rain may continue for a while.
  2. Thanks to Mark for posting this, I went by and we had fresh squash, red potatoes, cabbage and broccoli for supper. With some cornbread.
  3. I've always heard that, red sky at night, sailors delight, red sky in morn, sailors take warn. Tomorrow should be a beautiful day. These June mornings remind me of being at my grandparents in the summer. They had about 2 acres for a garden and first thing in the morning, after milking the cow and slopping the pigs, and cooking gravy and biscuit for breakfast, they would walk down the road to the garden to pick what was ready and to hoe the rest.
  4. It was in Pubby's about the storm. THAT was cool, to the left of my photo it was RED, but it was through the trees and you wouldn't have been able to see it, but it was beautiful!!
  5. I posted in the other topic...... Beautiful here in New Georgia too
  6. Public school is doing it's job really well. I don't even have time to go into what I've seen my grandson have to read, for History. Lies, all lies, and he knows it because we discuss it and I tell him the truth and how to find the truth. I tell him he has to read the truth before all of history is re-written to fit the Socialist agenda.
  7. Yep, and I remember watching it after I graduated and moved away from home. I was 17. I was living in an apartment in Marietta when Channel 17 debuted. I don't remember the year exactly, but it was nothing but a psychadelic screen that played Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in The Sky" over and over and over and over and over. Channel 17 did re-runs of Star Trek. I worked at Lockheed during this time, during the build up of the war in Viet Nam . I worked on the C5A mock up in the Illustrations department. Lockheed employed more than 30,000 folks at the time. I was layed off in 1971.
  8. Me and my 5 YO grandson watched this, and he was rolling on the floor
  9. Well, I was going to post "Get Ready for the Storms", but I was too busy watching my trees blowing over in the wind. Thank goodness, I didn't lose any, and now it's finally quiet outside. It was raining sheets of rain and the wind was blowing so hard!! Dang!
  10. I was shocked when I opened this thread and saw this. It's so incredibly sad, does anyone know what happened?
  11. Pubby had a couple of outlandish replies last night as well. I would have sworn the moon was full, that's why I went out to look.
  12. That is so cool! You've had such an interesting life, besides Jim Morrison being your Cuz.
  13. Gene Roddenberry, 1966, Capt. James T. Kirk on The Enterprise on TV, I was 16 I was there for the beginning. That's pretty old skool! LOL And the ones I couldn't answer or didn't answer has to do with the newer series of which I never watched that much. It's always good to give a question an N/A so folks can still participate even if they don't have an answer for every question.
  14. You need an N/A for each question, some I couldn't answer but just picked one so I could vote. Kirk and Nimoy are my favorite, but then I'm old skool, really old skool. And next time you do a poll, if it's a serious one, you need to make the voters invisible. You have selected the poll that gives the names of the voters.
  15. I think you're right, the full moon is Friday and Friday is the 13th. It was late when I posted! LOL
  16. After seeing a couple or three crazy- assed responses, I decided it must be getting close to a full moon. Well, the moon is waxing but won't be full until Friday the 10th. Some folks just need to take a chill pill and proof what they've typed before hitting "enter". Seriously.
  17. I posted in the other topic last week how many millions this was costing each state. Somebody is getting rich effing with our kids education. And laughing all the way to the bank.
  18. Great. Just in time to experiment with my grandson's graduation. I hate Common Core.
  19. Oh Lawd, I just wish there were some planes using the airport and paying taxes. I can't read anymore of this.
  20. Maybe your decoys will work, but he doesn't mess with our ducks, of course ours are mallards, he may not like white ducks since he's white. And I wonder why he runs off the geese. , Is it their size? Maybe the swan doesn't like another big bird in his lake?
