  1. Have you checked Craig's list? Probably some there for a small fortune. They only cost a dollar.
  2. This is the one from 1984. I was working at Southern Bell and I remember it well. I still have my glasses. It was 99.7% The one on August 21 will only be 96% here so it may not be as dramatic That's why I'm taking the rugrat to Clayton/Dillard/Rabun Gap. The total solar eclipse will last 2 minutes and 38 seconds. It's something he will always remember and I've got my t-shirts to wear! 1984 ATLANTA, May 30— From Louisiana to North Carolina, people today were afforded a rare glimpse of a nearly total solar eclipse that turned noontime into an eerie twilight and briefly framed
  3. Mine are American Paper Optics out of Bartlett, TN https://www.eclipseglasses.com/
  4. I checked mine and they're made in the USA. And I can't see anything through them except the sun.
  5. How do you know they're not certified? I heard that you should only be able to see the sun through them. Not a light bulb or anything else. Only the sun. Mine are all good. But I ordered mine in Amazon about a month ago.
  6. The best thing to do is call around. The library may have more. Don't know. Michaels doesn't carry them. I saw a list of FB but I forgot. Seems like it has LOWE'S listed. Maybe someone else can post places. This is a list of the best viewing areas in Georgia. I'm going to Dillard (probably with a hundred thousand other people). https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thrillist.com/amphtml/lifestyle/atlanta/total-solar-eclipse-2017-georgiaS
  7. The library was out last week. I got 10 at Walmart Saturday I also ordered some on Amazon but as long as it took it may be too late to order unless you want to pay express shipping.
  8. From what I read the teachers got a pay increase but their insurance when up even more.
  9. Glad they got him. That's a pretty good shot. Handcuffed on his belly in the rain.
  10. Does anyone know whose budget that $300,000 is going in?
  11. So who gets to spend this $300,000? Is anyone going to keep up with the cooked books?
  12. This one always made me sad. I was going through some things at the time and I could relate. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uCoUqU4gg3Q
  13. Who knows what they plan except for a tax increase.
  14. That was my second favorite.
  15. I knew it was coming, it's just so sad. You were always Gentle on My Mind https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/08/08/arts/music/glen-campbell-dead.html?referer= .
  16. And how much did that fire truck cost us, the taxpayers? $1 Million? And they're selling it for 1/3 the price? And it's never been used for the purpose for which it was purchased? The airport is here and we need to make it profitiable. And I don't care how. So if the airport does come to fruition, then we'll need to purchase another specialized fire truck? Only this time it will be $2 Million?? Who the hell is in charge of all of this?
  17. That spot is miserable. I got caught in it a couple of years ago. I make sure I don't have to go that way at quitting time. I still think a light would be better.

  19. I'm disgusted by her bitchy priveledged attitude in court. And those eyebrows.
  20. I've never figured out why people have so much trouble at a 4-way. I've been behind people that stop at a 4-way with no one in sight and they just sit there. I stop and I go. I make eye contact if someone has a turn ahead of me and let them go. If they just sit there, I go. I mean seriously, it's not that hard. I've gotten used to round abouts. There's a lot in Florida where I bought. The only one that freaked me out was a double lane round about and I didn't know where I was going to begin with. I missed my turn, took the next one, came back and tried it again. I finally got
  21. Exactly! They're already employable Thank you
  22. After 84 views I'm really hoping some of you have submitted the survey. This would give our young people a real choice for a career right out of school.
  23. Well we used to have options when I was in high school in the sixties. THey just did away with it and assumed they could make everyone worthy of college. Not everyone is supposed to go to college. Some do well using their own mind. Some of the best entrepreneurs came out of the fifties and sixties.
