I don't understand it either. Wings went up years ago because folks started cooking them at home. I've used Norton for as long as I've had a computer and I've never gotten a virus or anything. I've had Comcast longer and I just found out a few months back they offer Norton for free. My neighbor was burning after dark and I could smell it in my house even though it's closed up. I like to burn too, but I do it during the day and make sure it's out before I leave it. I can't stand a smoldering, smokey fire after dusk. It just lays around in the air because there's no wind blowing it away. I can't stand to breathe it.

Ours is a fountain and it's a resin/fiberglass and it gets green if I don't clean it. The one we had before that was metal, which I like better because it made a sound when the water hit the bowls, but it died last year. But I had to keep it clean, or it would get green. Metal water fountains are way too expensive for me now. I hate the one we had last year died, and it was coming apart so it was time to get another one. But we had it for years. The birds love the fountain and they're always taking baths, so that probably helps get it dirty too.

We clean ours all through the season, and for some reason I just assumed most people knew to keep them clean. I saw your share on FB & I shared, and I hope people realize that if they wouldn't drink moldy, nasty water, why should our little hummers. Or any bird for that matter. I have a bird bath/water fountain that I clean at least once a week during the season.

We have a Paulding County Deputy that drives his car home. He lives several houses down. We have a Cobb County cop that drives his home. He lives on another street over.
