We use mealworms for our bluebirds. I used to order them live online but Lowes carries the freeze dried and the birds love them just as good. Ummmmm, a little BBQ sauce in those wiggly one might be good. LOL

Well, I didn't know they plucked their chest feathers out to feel the eggs agaisnt their skin. When a hen goes broody, she’ll pull out her breast feathers so that her skin is in contact with the eggs. In the US two are always required in the cabin. If one has to go pee, a steward takes his place, until he comes back.
