  1. Technically, he wasn't shot during the war. What we call the "Civil War" was never declared a war, by Congress, therefore it was a military engagement between the states. Also, he was shot on April 15th and the "war" ended on April 9th, 5 days prior to him being shot.
  2. It's likely that the domain's that you are trying to send to do not allow what is called an open mail relay. Open mail relays do not check for authentication and therefore they are often used by spammers. These domains can do support open mail relay can often be black listed. Your ISP's domain may have had some spamming issues to where those other domains blocked incoming emails from blacklisted groups. You can check to see if your ISP's mail server has been blacklisted by going HERE and typing in your mail servers address. If that is the case, you'll need to contact your ISP and have t
  3. No, cops should NOT be held to a higher standard. They should abide by the SAME laws as every other citizen in this country and so they should face the same punishement as any other citizen faces, when commiting the same crime. This country has a Constitution that protects ALL citizen's, including bad cops and thugs. And one thing the Constitution does for ALL citizen's is provide EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW.
  4. Not much different in New York City!
  5. Yeah, those ass hats are part of the problem. They are one of the ones who get a bunch of it in and sell it for ridiculous prices. I stopped in there once and I can't recall exactly, but I think they were asking something like $21 per 100... They started taking advantage of people when the shortage hit and they haven't stopped. At least most people are selling at reasonable (still slightly inflated) prices when they get stock in.
  6. I agree, it's silly to try to make a law against it, but newer modern diesels do not billow the smoke like the newer ones do. Billowing black smoke from a diesel is nothing more than it running rich (too much fuel). In stock form, a newer model diesel, with electronic fuel injection and a catalyst in the exhaust system, they don't put out any more black smoke than a gasoline burner. Where it becomes a problem is when people buy the aftermarket chips and are upgraded injectors and turbo units and have the 'instant tuner' capabilities right on the dashboard. With a couple of button
  7. There are three brands that are going to be the best quality and most comfortable. Plantronics, Logitech, and Turtle Beach. They are the best and most comfortable, but they are also likely going to be the most expensive.
  8. Nope, actually, it's not up to date. It still shows that you cannot carry in to a government building that houses an authority, board, etc... The law now states that a screening process must be in place and signs posted for a government facility to be able to restrict access to someone with a weapon. IE: If you go in to a government building that doesn't have a metal detector or security official that screens your entry, it is perfectly legal to carry inside. Going to websites like this for general information is not bad, but it's a bad idea to rely on them totally for up to
  9. LOL! You actually believe that propaganda bullcheeze? No, sorry, the NRA has no such standing and does not lobby for any such thing. Second, a convicted felon can already, provided the circumstances are met, own and possess a firearm. The law, which the NRA had absolutely nothing to do with, says that a convicted felon can apply for and have their right to own/possess a firearm restored, by the courts, after a period of 10 years from the date of their punishment has been paid. You gotta do better than some half-witted bullcheeze website. if you want someone to take you with any s
  10. The new gun law had absolutely nothing to do with carrying in any parks, anywhere. The law already allowed for carrying in parks, even national parks. The Supreme court rules several years ago that it was legal. The only parks that you are not allowed to carry is the ones run by the Army Corp of Engineers. Prior to the new state law, you could not carry in to a building in a park that was a staffed building. The federal law still does not allow carrying in federal buildings on park premises.
  11. Yep, definitely the type that causes the panic and nervousness of people and does nothing but hurt the reputation of the legal and responsible gun owner/carriers. What are you referring to as "quick sights?"
  12. Uh... Isn't that what I said? The grill and the hood both look to be from a '35 Chevy. It's definitely not the hood and grill that came on it.
  13. Yes, it is a '38 and yes it did come that way... It was known as a "Master Coupe Pickup." The grill and the hood both look to be from a '35 Chevy. It's definitely not the hood and grill that came on it.
  14. Yep, as Happy Wife and Mom noted, her name was Roxy Roker and she was also cousin to Al Roker, the meteorologist.
  15. No, "I Love Lucy" was LONG before Different Strokes and The Jefferson's had "Tom and Helen."
  16. Well, first, unplugging the TPS would have no bearing on the clunking. It could have remedied the problem with your eratic shifting,etc... If you have a bad connection from the harness to the TPS, it could cause all kinds of goofy things to happen. The TPS tells the computer how much throttle is being applied, which in turns tells the injectors how much fuel to deliver and how much hydraulic pressure the transmission needs during it's shift and also when to shift. So, yes, unplugging and plugging back could have cleaned the contacts in the plug or on the harness enough to improve the co
  17. The radio in my car stays on Sirius 19, the Elvis channel all the time. Heard the other day, that still, after being dead coming up on 40 years, he is outselling all other musicians. They said he has sold over 1 TRILLION albums to date.
  18. First, under normal driving conditions, synthetic does NOT protect your engine any better than conventional oil. The only advantage to synthetic is that the additives do not break down as quick as conventional oil. If you want to run longer oil changes or drive in extreme conditions (constant pulling or high heat) then synthetic will allow you longer change intervals. Conventional oil will protect your engine just as well as synthetic, you just have to change it more often. As I said before... the oil doesn't wear out or go bad, the additives do. And to say 3,000 mile oil changes are
  19. Another thing people commonly forget to change, and at 3 years, if it's never been done, it's probably time to change the anti-freeze also. Also, if you have an automatic transmission and you are near the 30,000 mile mark, it would be a good time to change it as well.
  20. I'm not a big additive guy either. As a matter of fact, I rarely suggest using them, because typically, they aren't needed. But, like a lot of things, they do have a time and place to be used. Like I said, using them all the time, for most people, is really a waste of money. But you have a case that most people don't. You just have to look at the particular situation and evaluate what's needed for that situation. No problem on chiming in... Happy to help out!
  21. Well, it certainly won't hurt your engine if you wish to do it. However, if you drive normally and your engine has time to reach proper operating temperature and stays there for a bit, you really have no reason to do it. It's like running high octane gas in a engine that doesn't need it. It won't hurt anything, but you really won't gain anything either. If you do a lot of short haul trips, like I mentioned above, simply changing your oil change intervals can remedy the problem. Those short haul, cold engine trips are considered "extreme conditions" just like running in 130 degree he
  22. The last two sentences say it all: "The individual who left the letter failed to leave their signature. It appears they didn’t believe in their own opinion strongly enough to sign their name to it." What a coward. It's also funny that the author of the letter just assumes the "solider" in question is a male and doesn't realize that women are soldiers and are out there protecting this country too.
  23. Yes, you can... There are several things you can use: Diesel fuel Kerosene Mineral Spirits Type F transmission fluid Seafoam Marvel Mystery oil BG Engine Cleaner The thing you have to be careful with with diesel fuel, kerosene, seafoam, and mineral spirits is how much you run. None of those have have lubrication capabilities enough to run long term or large quantity. With those things, you just want to run a few ounces at a time... You don't want to substitute any oil with those products. The ATF, MMO, and BG all have lubrication characteristics that you can put in
  24. The diesel oil won't physically harm your engine, but if you notice a mileage drop, that's a good enough reason not to switch to it. Grumps mentioned a product called Rislone and it's a pretty good cleaner. At an oil change, you can also substitute 1 quart of engine oil for a quart of Type F automatic transmission fluid. Type F is very high in detergents and will help clean it out... I generally recommend doing that about every fourth oil change. Your mechanic should also be able to get a product called BG engine cleaner. It's probably the best internal engine cleaner available, b
  25. Since the picture shows a Triceratops, which has long been extinct, I would be willing to be he was joking.
