With the exception of George Wallace, I can't think of anyone on the right having an attempt on their life. The Kennedys, MLK, and 5000+ lynchings would say you are wrong. I'm not trying to convict anyone. I'm wondering why someone, with a troubled past, who the police suspect has killed another is out on the streets. And for $150 bond is it? The JQC is overworked, understaffed and underfunded. And that was before Lester Tate quit. You can't ask members of the bar to provide oversight to police themselves anymore than you can ask the police union to oversee law enforcement. No lawyer would dare challenge him for the seat but many wanted to seek his seat if it were open. Are you saying retired Judge Osborne was not providing cover for his daughter by initially running and then withdrawing in the 11th hour? Apparently the JQC at the time thought otherwise. There is shared responsibility, however the punishment does not appear to fit the crime in this instance. The officer has an obvious fear of dogs and did not hesitate to use lethal force. Did the driver of the vehicle hit the dog accidentally or did the driver run the dog down and kill it because it happened to be running loose? I don't condone letting your dog run free however if it's accidental or seldom occurrence, I can understand. It isn't the dog's fault it is the fault of the owner.
