  1. So what I am hearing you say is that you would like to do away with staggered elections for both the commission posts and Chairman positions and that the elections for all these positions be held at the same time and that all contracts the county enters into not exceed 4 years
  2. You would need to go back and look at the legislation that created this authority and who it specifies can serve. I believe it does specify that the non IBA members need to be Paulding residents. So you are advocating that non Paulding citizens serve on the Airport Authority? Are we going to start paying members to get the expertise you want? I would imagine if you just want people with experience running a general aviation airport you are going to have the from all over the SE and it would be a huge conflict to have someone currently employed as GAA manager on the Authority.
  3. In the absence of 9 people in Paulding County with experience running a GAA that are will to serve on the AA, perhaps some benchmarking should be done to compare Airport Authority/Advisory Board member compositions for GAA airports that we wish to emulate like McCollum. It appears that the Chair at McCollum is in real estate, perhaps he is pilot too (IDK)...
  4. Expecting to have 10 people with experience in running a GAA living in Paulding County would be a huge statistical anomaly. Personally, I would like to see the IBA and AA members separated so you can have more members of the AA have an aviation background whether it be military, aviation business related or pilots. And yes, if we were lucky enough to stumble on a few people with with experience running a general aviation airport, that would be great to have them on the Authority as well.
  5. So have 9 Paulding County residents that have experience running a general aviation been identified to for possible appointment to the Airport Authority?
  6. better schools, comparable millage rate, better shopping..... yep, I am almost ready to pull the plug sooner rather than later...
  7. West Cobb County keeps calling me louder and louder..........
  8. I fail to see how supporting a democratic process of allowing voters to vote on whether to issue a bond to purchase property for the placement of a general aviation airport automatically translates into supporting commercialization decades later.
  9. Nope they had digital billboards up today stating the dates the road would be closed... It sucks cause that is the fastest, most direct route to kiddos school.
  10. Hiram Sudei between Bill Carruth and 92 will be closed for about a week starting on the 26th of this month.

  20. I hope that inconsiderate comments coming from the airport concerning noise that Ms. Leathers brought up is also addressed in the Airport Authority meeting next week.
  21. I am glad to see this and hopefully these cases will move forward to trial, the verdict will be whatever it is, the community deals with the verdict and we, as a community can move on...
  22. nasty.. I guess it's time for teachers to be trained to pick thru kids hair weekly in search of the offensive bugs..
  23. I voted for Trump since he is a liberal Republican....
  24. It looks like the City of Dallas is in the unfortunate situation of it being cost prohibitive to fix the issues it has with its existing revenue stream and yet is criticized for trying to expand its revenue stream by expanding its service area in the hopes of bringing in more revenue(that if the airport was successful) might bring in enough revenue to fix the issues. Just saying.. Its quite the conundrum when dealing with capital extensive infrastructure.
