I am sure that Propeller has a business plan and probably floated around a prospectus of sorts that contained high level info about their business plan in order to secure investors. The beauty of a P3 to folks like Propeller and our government ilk is that none of it will be disclosed since it is outside the domain of Open Records requirements, nor or they under any obligation to disclose any of this information. I suppose we should be delighted that we were afforded the right to see via the contract, just how little of the revenues Paulding will receive from the Propeller deal.. lol....

I am opposed to commercialization because quite frankly the noise from some of the GA planes is down right annoying. The thought of more planes and especially planes that may have something wrong with them flying over my head is some cause for concern. I have ran into people recently who did not know this forum existed. And many do not know that the other one exists. The challenge is getting people to go to the site and be engaged and to prefer it versus others. Any forum is going to have problem of a few posters running others off but if there were a forum composed of liberal, Unitarian Universalists such as myself, it would be awfully boring.

If you refute these numbers, perhaps you should do your own study and then contact GDOT and CDM Smith and challenge their figures or at least contact them as they may be factoring in other activities that you have not considered that factors into the flow out to 143...

It states in the report how they are calculated, abeit at an extremely high level how the numbers are calculated using a direct multiplier impact. Economic Impact can be be direct, indirect or imputed. And those jobs are not directly at the airport but are attributed to the money flowing the airport into the pockets of others down the line...

Stradial- thanks for your post. The pro side certainly arent bothering to counter much of anything the anti side is putting out and the anti side coud offer a much more compelling case for general aviation such as a detailed plan for general aviation- hire a consultant that comes up with a plan and sell the public on the idea that a commercial airport is not necessary. Its a two step process- tell them why the other side's plan is bad and sell them on a new vision. I think things can get worse. I am hearing it is nearly impossible to get a business permit in this County and this airport fiasco, in my opinion wil not only deter businesses from coming for many years. I dare say it will be likely businesses may leave, especially if the 139 is is denied. Paulding's only saving grace at this point is if the 139 does go through for business growth. As for its possbility of it becoming the "best bedroom community possible" I dont see that happening ever, considering the housing stock and its reputation in the metro area. I want it to stay GA. WE have not given it a chance to be a successful GA Airport by trying new leadership, bringing in consultants, etc. I just think the 139 will go through and do several others with my POV. Since the 139 is an eventuality in my mind from my research and in talking to others I am just concerned about the fallout from all of this. I am not a fan of tea party conservatism (both the political and religious part of it) but what we have now is not any better.

Ultimately this pissing war is about gaining or keeping power and control. The million dollar question is why do they want the power so bad, is the power and control in and of itself a personal aphrodisiac or are the gains from the power and control the true aphrodisiac? I think that is a real danger here. We are at the point that is more than just pro or anti airport. Its the I am so sick of the BS, fighting and those that can see that the end result either way is just going to be bad for Pauding and are getting out before the implosion. When you have two sides that seemingly have a -- its my way or the highway mentality.... the writing is on the wall...

A background check in my mind includes both things that are a matter of pubic record- arrest records, bankruptcies, divorce, etc and private- credit reports. On the PonyTail Patriot site she has posted an email supposedly from Mike Jone discussing court records on her he had recenty read. At this point, in my opinion, this issue has devolved into a pissing war with both sides acting poorly. I can remember the Support page airing some personal information about individuals involved in the lawsuit including there tax and bankruptcy matters- very poor taste. I have heard similar accounts. Seems they did not know but more more importantly did not want to know because they did not want that type of development in Paulding.

You need to check county ordinances- I believe they are still not permissible in Paulding.
