It's a valid concern even though a majority of those policies weren't worth the paper they were written on. It's a shame that some of the wise minds in the Republican party chose not to participate in the debate but instead chose to block and derail any attempts to fix the problem like the millions that have had to go without any insurance at all. A country as rich and powerful as America should not be one of the only three countries in the industrialized world that does not cover health care for it's citizens.

The fact is Insurance companies have been selling these substandard trash policies for years. They may call them insurance policies but the fact is they cover almost nothing if you get sick. They pop up in the news every now and then when they deny a child some kind of life saving surgery or a woman is denied cancer treatment. A lot of them don't cover something as basic as a Hospital stay. You may want to give these companies a pass for selling this garbage masquerading as Health Insurance a lot of people don't.

I understand theses policies didn't cover ten basic guidelines, things like Hospital care. Why would you want a policy that does not cover hospital stays ? Isn't that kind of like having a car without a motor ?
