It's a little elf doll that comes with a book about how the elf is here to watch the children for Santa to make sure they are being good. With a little help for mom and dad, the elf moves every night to a new spot and sometimes gets into mischief along the way. The children are NEVER supposed to touch the elf because it might spoil the magic! They can only look for him everyday and clean up the messes he makes! Check out http://www.elfontheshelf.com/#/home for more info.

I'll ask my doc about something different to take the next time I go see him. I'm gonna have to do SOMETHING!! Already taking 1000mg of Naprosyn a day. I've also heard some people say Chondroitin helps. May look for that next time I'm at the K-roger.

Last time I went to doc he said I had a couple of bone spurs forming in the arch of my left foot. I've already retired from one job because I couldn't stand all day any more. I'm looking for another where I don't have to be on my feet all day, but so far, no luck. Some folks have suggest trying to get di

I am thankful for my wonderful husband, my beautiful children, and my even more beautifuller grandchildren!! -
I have osteoarthritis in the arches of both feet and I highly suspect I may now have it in my left ankle. I also have it in my left knee. I'm on a high dose of naprosyn and I've been using frozen water bottle to roll my feet on, but my left foot and ankle have been hurting a lot the last couple of days. Anyone else have experience with osteoarthritis? Particularly in your feet? What do you find that gives you some relief?

Well.....I'm not post menopause and I thought the silhouette of the car they showed looked kinda cute. Apparently it's not being released until May of 2011 so they wouldn't show the actual car. I'd drive it if I was given one!!

Note to parents: When your teaching your children about "good touch"/ "bad touch" and when it's ok to be touched in a private place, and whom it's ok to allow to do that, be sure to include TSA agents. /s

Amen sister. -
Can't believe I didn't mention this earlier: In the past my mother would do the Turkey and dressing and a dessert, then we were all "assigned" dishes to bring. I would do green bean and corn casserole, mashed potatoes, and bring a gallon of tea. My sister would do squash casserole, bring a dessert or two and bring rolls. This way it wasn't too much cooking on ONE person and we all got to try each others cooking skills!

I know how disappointed you must be.

You'll have the best juiciest turkey you've ever had! We didn't have anything left off a 20 lb. turkey last year! It all got eat! And FYI: you can buy brine pre-made seasonings and brining bags at your local K-roger!

I love colored lights! And I don't do a "theme" tree. Theme trees are pretty, but to me a family Christmas tree should be an eclectic collection of random ornaments that you've collected over the years. Things the kids made in school, stuff that's been handed down, random decorations that you've collected. I LOVE a FAMILY FILLED Christmas tree!

Brine is basically water and seasonings that you use to soak your turkey. There are LOTS of recipes on the interwebs for turkey brine, or at Kroger you can buy a jar of brine seasoning. Just add it to your water and soak away! Here's a site that 'splains how to do it: http://bbq.about.com/od/turkey/ss/aa110808a.htm And chili sauce is usually on the top shelf above ketchup. Or it is at Kroger anyway. (22 yrs in the grocery buisness finally came in handy for something! )
