  1. Definitely stay on property if you can, so you can go back to the room in the afternoons and take a break. We love to go back and lounge around the pool. Afternoons are the hottest times and busiest times in the parks. Then you can back in the evening as a lot of people are heading out, which is especially good if there are evening extra magic hours. Keep your eyes on disney's website for information about their new ticketing and fastpass systems. There just installed a new RFID system which is going to allow you to do some sort of online fastpass reservation. I haven't seen the detail
  2. Typically any situation involving a violation of a protective order results in an arrest for felony aggravated stalking. Depending on the facts of the situation, a misdemeanor TPO violation charge may be more appropriate. Punishment can vary greatly, depending on how serious the violation was. I've seen everything from straight probation to prison time.
  3. Thanks for the input everyone. I really appreciate the comments.
  4. I need to get a new laptop for the office. My husband is pushing a MacBook but I've never used one (my father worked for IBM most of his life, so it was never even considered until recently!). I would appreciate some input from those that are familiar with both, especially in a business setting.
  5. Very interesting. Here in Georgia, you can't be charged with DUI just for having marijuana in your blood. The only way to be charged for DUI Marijuana is if it is shown that you are less safe to drive. This video definitely shows that it takes quite a bit to be less safe, even for an occasional user. I look forward to seeing more information about this from those states that have legalized marijuana, and I wonder if the information will ever impact the DUI law in states like Georgia.
  6. If I remember correctly, I think the fine is around $450.00. As mentioned by others, get your license renewed and then explain the situation to the Judge. Many judges will reduce the charge and the fine to something like an invalid license.
  7. Walk up to the front so that the clock tower is on your left, and you have a building in front of you and one to your right. The tag office is in the building on your right, 3rd floor I believe.
  8. My sister in law - Niki - is a travel agent and specializes in all things Disney. Giver her a call - (785) 537-8444. Also, check out mousesavers.com. They have a newsletter with specials for all the Disney destinations, including Disneyland. It's a great place to get information about current specials, ticket pricing, etc. Finally, don't forget to check out disney's web page for special extras for the kids. One of the things that my son loves is the customized maps he can create for WDW. I imagine they offer something similar for Disneyland. He can pick out all the attractions he
  9. I was a brownie and a junior in the early-mid 80's. I just found some of my stuff a couple of months back (sash, badges, etc.). Scouting was so much fun. Now I'm a leader for my son's cub scout pack. I'd be happy to speak with your daughter if she'd like.
  10. Chicken tenders cook quickly, so I would probably plan on 5-6 hours on low.
  11. I rented one at Stoddards before I purchased my 19. Outdoor Adventure didn't have them available for rentals yet, but that was a couple of months ago. They might have some now. I was there today and didn't notice any Glocks in the case, but I wasn't really looking either.
  12. Chicken Cordon Bleu is my absolute favorite dish! My mother used to make it, and sometimes I can still convince her to do it sometimes, like my birthday. Dang it, now I'm hungry!!!!!
  13. I have the same issues, including carpel tunnel. I rented a lot of different guns to find one that I was comfortable with. I ended up getting a Glock 19. The size is perfect for my larger hands, but it has a pretty mild recoil. My hand and wrist get a little tired if I do too much at the range, but it doesn't bother me too much. I was able to get mine used through a dealer I know, though it looked new. He said that most used guns have only been fired once or twice, so you save $100-$200 and get something that's almost brand new. My father picked up a Glock at a gun show a few week
  14. I completely agree with you about a living will, both as an attorney and personally speaking. My grandmother was seriously ill and had a living will in place. Not only were my father and his brothers confident that they were following her wishes in declining further treatment, but it made a difficult decision a little easier to make, because they weren't second-guessing themselves about it. It also helps avoid conflicts, because no matter what a person says they want, there is often disagreements among loved ones about whether it's the right decision. Designating a person to make those
  15. If you are just looking to set up the non-profit, I would be more than happy to help you, including setting up the organization and applying with the IRS for non-profit status. I have experience in this area. Please let me know if you'd like to meet with me about it!
  16. My thoughts exactly!!! I think I'll be leaving early to get my 8 year old from ASP and spend some extra time with him. I want to hug him so much right now!!!! Every moment is so precious!
  17. I'm struggling with that too! My mother was trying to decide if they wanted to spend the night at our house on Christmas Eve, so they could open presents with us Christmas morning, and I reminded her that this was probably the last chance to see my son (also a 3rd grader) open the presents with that wonder of Christmas. I'll be really sad next year if he stops believing. I think it's a good night to watch Polar Express!
  18. There is a huge difference in the level of certainty required for an arrest versus a conviction. That's why these cases often get pled down to lesser offenses. We have seen even more of this since the mandatory minimum sentence for aggravated offenses was increased to 25 years. Any prosecutor would rather see an offender plea to a lesser offense, do a year in jail, and be on probation for ten, than to take the risk of going to court with only the uncorroborated testimony of a child, who may or may not be able to get on the stand and tell the story to 12 complete strangers. It's a sad fact
  19. I'm pretty sure Paulding's site only goes back 90 days, so if it was more than 90 since he was booked into Paulding Co, you won't be able to pull the record online. If he was arrested on a warrant, there will likely be a record at the courthouse. Magistrate Court processes all the county's arrest warrants for new charges, so start there. If they don't have a record, it could have been a warrant for failure to appear, which would most likely been issued by Superior Court or Probate Court, if Floyd County is showing it was Paulding, so one of those clerk's offices would be able to look it up.
  20. I have one. It does have training wheels. Very similar to the one in the link below, except I think it's mostly red with black handle bars. $30.00. Let me know if you're interested. Huffy Rock It Bike
  21. There was a push for this after the Kimberly Boyd murder. I don't think it garnered much support. Kimberly Boyd Legacy Project
