  1. Economics tells us that money spent by the government is money that cannot be spent by the taxpayers who earned it in the first place : That which is seen, is the labour and the profit excited by social combination. That which is not seen, is the labour and the profit to which this same combination would give rise, if it were left to the tax-payers. - Frederic Bastiat 1850 That Which is Seen, And That Which Is Not Seen

  5. There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all… The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Ameri

  9. Clearly that is not all what I wrote... My point was that the complete picture of history should be taught, instead of the evil white man narrative that is popular among history revisionists of today...
  10. Historian Elliot West’s award winning 1998 book The Contested Plains also points out that inter-tribal warfare before the white man hit the shores of North America claimed many more native lives then warfare between the tribes and Europeans. - Myth Of The Noble Natives

  16. My response was actually directed at Jughaid's previous Constitutional question of "why have military tribunals" in general... I understand and agree that Gadahn is an American citizen with all due process rights, and has already been indicted for treason and will be tried in federal criminal court... I apologize for not being more specific as to the intent of my response, kinda difficult to keep track when the topic veers in several different directions.
  17. The Constitution & Enemy Combatants There is no doubt that the attacks of September 11, 2001 constituted acts of war. - CFR
  18. "the law of war draws a distinction between the armed forces and the peaceful populations of belligerent nations and also between those who are lawful and unlawful combatants. Lawful combatants are subject to capture and detention as prisoners of war by opposing military forces. Unlawful combatants are likewise subject to capture and detention, but in addition they are subject to trial and punishment by military tribunals for acts which render their belligerency unlawful. The spy who secretly and without uniform passes the military lines of a belligerent in time of war, seeking to gather milit

  20. My response to Naturegirl was a simple statement of fact explaining one reason for the rising cost of health care.
  21. I have not "suggested" anything of the sort, you might try reading what I actually wrote instead of deliberately distorting my position: I have not "advocated" anything, I simply pointed out the fact that one reason costs have risen is because there is higher demand for treatment of minor illness in today's society than in the past.
