There could be any number of reasons for the leak, a contractor could have benn doing excavation and hit a service line or main, someone could have run over a farm tap or it could be a broken line from rocks hitting the pipe after all the rain. I work for a gas company. It's hard to tell until the crew gets there and can tell what the damage is. Hopefully the gas has already stopped blowing and the repair is in progress. Everyone needs to stay away from the damage until they have it under control for their sake and yours.

I personally choose to write Christmas out, I'm not offended if someone does not just as I'm not offended if they use Happy Holidays. We have the right to how we feel and what we choose to believe or not believe. The only I have to answer for is myself...

Yes, yes I would. I have two grown children, I was married to a police officer for 23 years and learned that people stopping at an accident scene is just making it more dangerous for everyone. If I lived close by I would go home first, if car isn't there then I would take the necessary steps. It's no more your job to question my logic or LR's than it would be for us to question yours.
