Go for it CE!! Mark I'd love to sell mine, too. I just don't think we can sell it and make a profit right now since we just spent a lot finishing our downstairs....we NEED at least one more bedroom!

I ditto Litte Ceasar's! Can't beat $5/pizza!!

I would like more than the 5 acres in this listing, this is just the closest I could find to what hubby & I like! We have a big family and need room!! And I need a HUGE kitchen, I have 3 little girls who LOVE to help me cook and they get in my way in the kitchen I have now Another thing I would want is a laundry room with at least 2 washers & dryers. When is the lotto drawing???

I would have something like this. I would build a barn and have horses.

I agree!! I have a LONG list of requirements for our next house. The one we are in now we have owned for almost 6 years. We only had 2 kids when we purchased it and now have 4 kids. We are busting out, even after finishing our basement. I hate the floorplan, too! I have WAY too many stairs to carry groceries up and not a big enough laundry room. (imagine the laundry I have with a family of 6!)

I'll add to this by saying that just because you pre-qualify for a certain amount, it doesn't meant that's the price you should spend. I know too many people who purchased homes for the amount of the pre-qual and are struggling.

They are precious!! How old are they? I have 4 kids. 3 girls (8, 6 on the 9th and 2.5) and 1 boy (he'll be 1 on the 9th too, same day my daughter turns 6!!) I make dresses and hairbows, too. I am getting an embroidery machine this week!! Well, it's my second machine, the first one was purchased used and I never could get it to work right...maybe operator error? I'm hoping i have better luck with the new one!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one!!

I am the same way...I have 2 tabs open right now and I am going back & forth I am a SAHM, so like LPPT's avatar used to say "my friends live in my computer"....or something like that! The internet is how I stay in touch with the "outside world". I can't wait until Spring so I can get out of the house just so I won't be so tempted to get online all the time! Oh, welcome to Pcom Brayden & Baylee's Mom!!

I took chicken out to thaw but remembered it's Wed and we don't get home from my daughter's dance class until close to 7. I'll probably pick up McD's or something on the way home for the kiddos and hubby if he wants it. I am in pain waiting to have surgery on the 16th so I may just have a couple glasses of wine!

Congrats! I have never been to Tanner but you said Kennestone is your second choice. I had 3 of my 4 babies at Kennestone and EVERYONE was wonderful and I had great experiences every time! If you decide to go that route, OB/GYN Associates in Marietta is where I go. I LOVE Dr. Tackitt but they are all great I would suggest going to both, Kennestone has regularly scheduled tours for expectant parents.

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses
nowens98 replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I understand people REALLY not being able to afford coverage. But in the case of the person I mentioned, she would rather have "things" and maintain a certain "lifestyle" instead of having coverage for at least her kids. I do not agree with that b/c when her hospital bill was "written off", someone HAD to pay for that. Her kids deserve coverage, even if it means not taking as many dance classes. We do feel VERY fortunate to have the coverage we have. Like I said in my original response, the company is trying to renew their employees contract so thay we will have to pay premiums and higher -

I don't know if this is the type of response you are looking for, NG MY families healthcare is just fine! My husband works for a large telecommunications company and we have 4 kids...we don't pay any monthly premium. That's the reason people used to go work for a big corporation, right? Hardly any of them offer to cover their employees anymore. They are in negotiations to have us pay a premium and change our coverage, but we are fortunate to have it through his company so I can't complain. Our copays & deductibles are reasonable (for example, it cost me $320 to have each baby. That w -
Beautiful property and great house!! I'd love to find a house like that here to remodel. Newer homes just don't have the character of slightly older ones and they aren't built as well either. I can't wait to see pics of it after the remodel is complete!! Good luck and I hope it turns out just how you want it to!

Well after comparing Blockbuster to Netflix, it looks like we'll be switching! For $2 more a month we can watch them right on our laptop AND get 2 movies at a time...we only get 1 at a time with our current Blockbuster plan.
-
We use Blockbuster online and have the option to do in store exchanges. We have been happy with them so far! I'll have to see if they has an option to watch online b/c now we can hook the laptop up to our TV.

I am considering going to school for sonography and want to talk to someone in the field. It seems to be a growing carrer field and I think it would be so amazing to give expectant parents a glimpse of their baby as it develops. I do have a few questions, so if you're a sonographer, please PM me!! TIA

Hopefully my pic will show up. I did this to my DD and I separated her hair into 3 ponytails, one on top and then the ones down on the sides like pigtails. I got floral wire NOT pipe cleaners (they aren't strong enough) and that's how I got it to stand up. I bent the wire and placed it under the pinytail holders and then put another rubberband at the top. The braids were easy, I just ran the wire through the braids after I did them. I curled the ends with a skinny curling iron and finished with LOTS of hairspray!! ETA: If you need help, I'd be happy to do it if my schedule permits! PM me a

You are very blessed! I really wish there could be a drama-free relationship. No matter how nice and "on my best behavior" I try to be, she takes offense to something...see the comment about eating at Buffalo's, I thought I was doing what was best for all involed. No matter what I do, even with the best intentions, it's not right. Sometimes it's hard to keep trying to please.

Well, the way I see it, you NEVER know what a person is capable of. I am not willing to take that chance with my kids. It was terrifying when my FIL called my husband and said "come get them NOW, your mother is having a nervous breakdown". We were only 3hrs away and if felt like it took forever to get to them. I can not imagine how 10 hours would feel. If they want to come HERE and take them to the Zoo or a park or the aquarium, that is another story.
-
I get the feeling that YOUR husband may fish a lot. You may feel comfortable sending your kids 10 hours away to be with a mentally unstable person but I do NOT! One day my kids may understand our decision and respect us for PROTECTING them instead of having to question WHY we put them in a potentially harmful and dangerous situation. What effect would it have on them if Nana decides to attempt suicide again while they're there or tries to harm them in one of her depressive episodes???

Thanks, girl! You have been very blessed with your MIL! She is very sweet!!
