So, she made it down Dabbs Bridge to 41 with no problem?

I am supposed to take my mom to the doctor today. Gotta drive from Dabbs Bridge to downtown Acworth to Cartersville. Anyone have a clue about roads?

Aw man! Surely they would realize something was up? After all, didn't the school closing ring some kind of bell? Honestly, if they are anything like my older brother and me (He's 10 years older), they may have gone 'exploring', not realizing the risks. My brother wasn't known for his brains. lol! Hopefully, they will turn up safe and sound and soon!

Geez! I just double checked and made sure my son stays put! He said he is getting his big truck ready in case it is needed. I told him to not even think about it! And I am glad my daughter is in Macon right now.

Currently, the water is not crossing the road in front of my house on Dabbs Bridge Rd., but it will as soon as the rain starts back up. It thunders and rains, then stops. Dripping Rock Trail is where they are taking some boats right now. It is off Dabbs Bridge. You drive down by Pumpkinvine and down into a deep hole. It is mostly trailers there. Those people are in serious danger. It is in Bartow county, further back. The beginning of the road is in Paulding only.

You really drive down into a hole on that road, right by the creek too.

I hope they beat him with a stick! The police don't need that crap today. They never need it, but REALLY not today.

Some employers won't accept any excuse for not being at work. School was out, and a parent was probably stuck. Not enough jobs around and probably thought it wouldn't get that bad there.

Trust the hospital to take care of her. If you try to get there, you might end up in worse shape. They have already had the first fatality due to someone trying to get somewhere in a car. It was in Gwinnett county, and I think we have it worse out here. Don't risk it. You know that area is flooded already. Now a second one! Douglas county, man's body found. Don't risk it!

DO make sure all companies are insured and bonded. If they damage something else, you could have big problems. Seen it happen to people. There are a lot of good people out there who do a great job. Sadly, this type thing brings out the bad ones because people tend to be desperate and sometimes they have insurance money to spend. Just because they are local, it doesn't mean they are good. And just because they are from elsewhere, it doesn't mean they are bad. Just check them all out before you agree to give them money.
