That is what I gather. Like I said, I am way under informed to speak to this specific topic. I would hope (but doubt) that our elected officials would put the interests of the country ahead of their personal and political interests. I have very little faith in either side of the aisle when it comes to putting the country's interest first.

I was just poking the bear. I don't think eym_sirius pays me too much attention. (which is as it should be) OK, for a serious opinion on this issue. First, I know very little about it, so I don't have well informed opinion. Which means, that I will not comment on this issue specifically. Second, in general, I am more along the lines of George Washington, an isolationist. If they aren't threatening the US and our interests, then stay out of it.

This was in the late 70's, and some people still did not lock their doors when they were home during the day. One Sunday afternoon while the family was watching the Falcons game, the front door opened and in walked a stranger. He went straight to the fridge got himself a beer and came back into the living room, sat in an empty chair and opened the beer. My buddy wasn't scared, there wasn't as much nutty stuff going on back then

You better believe it is serious! You try being around an 82 year old lady that just got through trying to gum some fried chicken and corn on the cob. It ain't fun, I can tell you that. My wife is tired of having to pre-chew her steaks and ribs and is ready to try anything to get in touch with Uncle Thaddious. We tried a Ouija Board but all we kept getting was Uncle Harold, Uncle Thaddious's brother, and all he kept harping on was that he was right, his wife is in....well let's just say she wishes that all she had to deal with was GA summers.

That thought never occurred to me. I was thinking along different lines. Somewhere along the lines of...someone says, "This smells horrible! Smell it." and the other person smells it. They have just been told that it stinks, but they smell it anyway.

I have a few books that I never finished, well, I guess I do. I can't remember any, but as many books as I read and sometimes I read 2 or 3 at a time, I am sure that a couple have fallen by the wayside over the years. But never have I quit reading one on purpose.
