  1. Nope, it is just outside of I-285 (north of I-285) and between Cobb Pkwy and I-75. They will have buses, costing the county around 1.2 mill, running shuttles around the stadium. It's a guaranteed money maker. (the elected officials said so) (yes, the same ones that suggested running I-285 under Cobb Parkway)
  2. Like the politician said, "A few billion here, a few billion there, pretty soon, you're talking real money."
  3. We don't give out candy, the dogs go too nuts. But when we were at the grandkids house or back when mine was little, any kid who showed up with or without a costume, shy or not, got candy. Never once did I think anything negative about the kids who trick or treated. Every kid is different, whether or not they have some other issue, after all, they are just children. Shame on any adult that has an issue with children at trick or treat time, even those who may get "grabby". Want to see grabby, watch me when the kids come in with their nights haul. Even the older teenagers got candy. I
  4. We may not have the wackiest elected officials around. Surprisingly, well not to thousands of citizens, but to local Cobb County officials, getting people into and out of the new Braves stadium is turning out to not only be a major problem, but costing waaaaay more than anticipated. (by anticipated, I mean anticipated by the elected officials, thousands of ordinary Joe Lunchboxes and Mary Homemakers not only anticipated it, but said it) Turns out that parking is an issue. Well not really parking, there are plenty of parking, you just can't get to the stadium from the parking lots.
  5. I remember when this country stopped Hitler and Tojo, at the same time. Now you could take over our whole country using just a peanut and a glass of whole milk.
  6. I appreciate the kind words, but I just followed the only course I could see that would get me to where I wanted to be. Trust me, my friends heard me yell and cuss and pitch fits that I wish I could have given to the ex. In fact, the wife heard one just a few weeks ago.
  7. I appreciate your trying to bring attention to what is a real problem. As I have explained to you in PMs, I understand the problem, I live the problem and do to my personal situation, I have never had access to any legal recourse. Consequently, I had to decide what was my number one goal and that was to be as involved in my son's life as possible. To that end, I took (and still do) verbal abuse, emotional abuse, financial abuse and whatever else I had to, to have as active a role as possible in my kid's life. I haven't had yelled at my son's mother or had a heated argument with her since 199
  8. As I told pubby one time; true, but has nothing to do with the situation. You also can fight the war so hard that you lose sight of the goal. I suggest that may have happened in your case. Of course, I could be wrong.
  9. My opinion. (which along with 25 cents will get you a gumball) You have to look at what started the ball rolling. If someone sets a house on fire and it spreads to other houses in the neighborhood and the fire department decides that the only way to stop the fire from spreading is to tear down some houses in the path of the fire, then I don't blame the fire department. I blame the person who started the fire. It doesn't matter whether or not people say, they could have stopped the fire by doing, A, B, C, D E, F or anything else. IF THE FIRE HAD NOT BEEN SET, THEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
  10. That I understand. Fair answer. I was banned from the Support page by saying that I thought his use of the word retard was offensive and that he should apologize to those with special needs and their families. BTW, if I'm not mistaken, he used it in a post on the Support page.
  11. Three quick questions. If the Morrisons had an "unknown payor of lawsuits with a high probability of being domiciled outside Paulding", backing them, would that be an issue for you? If not, what's the difference? If so, what business is it if yours who pays the bills?
  12. Mr. Reinhart doesn't have a monopoly on that. I myself have more than my share at times. I don't know Mr. Reinhart, but based on his own words and actions, I feel him to be both a coward and a bully. (based on how he runs that FB page) And while this blowup was not good, for me at least, I can understand how it could happen. Mr. Pownell seemed to handle the situation well.
  13. Passionate topic, heat of the moment, frustration, perhaps low blood sugar. I doubt it is a secret that Mr. Reinhart dislikes Mr. Pownell. So you combine that with, a passionate topic, heat of the moment and frustration, and it can happen. Not excusing it, just understanding it.
  14. While that outburst is not appropriate, I can understand how it might happen. What I can't understand is Mr. Reinhart's banning people from the Support Silver Comet Field Facebook page, just because he doesn't like their questions or comments. That shows me that Mr. Reinhart is not interested in anything but his own point of view, as well as showing a major red flag in his having control issues. As someone who is not adverse to commercial flights, in my opinion, Mr. Reinhardt and his attitude, does more to hurt the commercialization of airport than he could ever do to help it.
  15. I know, you and my wife, twins separated by different parents and age. I don't think the cop handled this the best way. (then again, I don't know the history with this girl) But, I don't have a big issue with how he did handle it. I know people disagree with me and that's more than cool. I respect your right to be wrong. As I am sure you do the same for me. Remember this, you get the kind of behavior you reward. My first thought when seeing this and hearing the story was, tase her till she complies. But what he did worked also. One of my high school teachers, Mr. Blatt, punched a dis
  16. I know what my parents would have said. "If you didn't want to get taken down, then you should have done what the teacher, principle & officer told you to do." If I heard something like that once, I heard it hundreds of times. "If you didn't want your ball taken by Mrs. Watson, you should have kept it out of her yard." "If you didn't want to be sprayed with a hose, you should have stayed out of their yard." "If you didn't want to lose your yoyo, you shouldn't have taken it to school." On an on it goes. (never did get my ball or yoyo back) I know others will disagree. But I thin
  17. Wife and I discussed going. We decided that if we wanted to be scared, we will just leave the lights on when we get undressed. (yes, we are to scairt to go)
  18. Ohhhhhh Kaaaaaay Not sure what that has to do with anything, but if we are going to post things that, at best, have a peripheral relationship with the topic: Alvin Karpis gave Charlie Manson guitar lessons in prison. (Karpis used a gun, Manson is in prison for murder, they both played guitar)
  19. I wish Nitro would pop in and give an explanation, he does a good job answering these type of questions. That is a multi answer question. Short answer, many ways. Given what I have read and seen on the news, I presume that the pistol in question is an automatic. Here is a picture of a basic automatic hand gun. (Colt 1911) An automatic has the cartridges loaded in a magazine, which is in turn inserted in the grip of the pistol. You load the weapon by pulling back the slid (the part that has Model of 1911 US Army on it) and releasing the slid. This stripes a cartridge from the
  20. It is now being reported that the gun misfired (did not not fire) and jammed. When the adult was trying to clear the misfire, the gun fired. http://www.11alive.com/story/news/local/dallas-paulding-county/2015/10/18/two-hurt-paulding-county-accidental-shooting/74167894/
  21. Hiram Haunted House ! You will poop your pants! Perhaps the best ad line ever for a haunted house...and the worst.
  22. You may be kinda close. This was taken while he was sitting on my chest right up next to my throat. My take on what he was thinking. If I only had opposable thumbs, I could strangle you and get treats any time I wanted.
  23. Girl, all that cat does is sleep, eat, poop and get loved. He has always been grumpy. He and I are just alike; overweight, lazy, eat and poop a lot, get more loving than we deserve and losing our hair. (yes, he has a huge bald spot)
  24. Now that....is truly a grumpy cat. #EveryDayFace
