  1. Let's be honest, the main reason we men don't want lady announcers in sports is, we only listen to but about half of what women say. We don't want to miss that much of the commentary. Hey, I'm not proud of it, I just admit it. Sorry, I have more but I have to go, I just realized my wife has been talking to me the whole time I was typing. She might have said something I need to know....like if I can play golf this weekend.
  2. I took a friend of mine and his 30 yr old daughter to the gun range last week. The daughter had zero knowledge about guns. I spent 2 hours with her the day before going over the 4 guns we would be shooting and the differences between revolvers, automatics, single action revolvers and double action action revolvers. As well as short talk about rifles, bolt action, lever action, pump action and automatic. She was shocked to learn that a lot of what she thought gun terms meant, didn't really mean what she thought they meant. Best example I showed her about "assault weapons" and other guns
  3. Perhaps that's the problem. True, true, true. Sad, but true.
  4. Get back in the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans. War ain't over.....yet. It's just half time. (that's a football term)
  5. My opinions. Don't care; if he is conservative, liberal, libertarian, straight, gay, transgender, black, white or any other race. Do care; if he belongs to a religion or any other organization that has stated goals of destroying our country or certain groups of people specifically. Our mental health system is as broken as our physical health system. We need to return to the days when families were able to have loved ones committed, No telling how many deaths were averted at that time, simply because the mentally ill was unable to be out to commit the murder(s). Not too mention how
  6. Got rooked in the divorce, huh. I was in a marriage once, where the first one to die.....won.
  7. The wife and I were married by a judge at the Paulding county courthouse five years ago. Only the wife, myself and a very few family and friends and the lady judge were present. I called the courthouse, made an appointment and that was it. I forget the cost for the judge, but it was reasonable. Only issue was that the lady judge refused to put the "obey" part in the wife's vows and that the wife refused to say the "obey" part if the judge did put them in. (shoulda known then I was in trouble) We took pictures, with and without the judge. The judge was nice enough to take some of them f
  8. You really have trouble with reading comprehension, don't you. I will type this very slowly and use big letters, in hopes that you can understand what I wrote. To believe in a god does not require one to have any religion. Not speculating, accusing. Again, comprehension, and perhaps a dictionary, would be helpful,
  9. Apparently the only thing going in circles is you, trying to figure out how to make something that isn't religious, religious. To believe in a god does not require one to have any religion. Perhaps I could see some of your other posts under other names for clarification.
  10. Just as my comments about atheists not being able to pray for me to miss a putt was a joke. (true, but still a joke) I have several friends that are atheists, I had breakfast with one this past Saturday. (strangely enough, but not so strange in a way, two of my friends that are atheists, are both engineers) The word "god" basically means a deity or superhuman being or spirit who has power over all things. In the Christian and Jewish religions, they have a name for the god they worship, but his name was not supposed to be mentioned, and since they were one of the few religions, at t
  11. Two things. 1.Take a reading and comprehension course. I never said you couldn't have an opinion, I just said I don't care about your opinion. 2. I have to wonder just how many "names" one person can have and post with here.
  12. Most people have no clue how powerful drug/alcohol addiction is. And that is a good thing, cause if you really truly do understand, chances are your life has been turned upside down. Either by your own addiction or by a very very close loved one. This took place 20+ years ago. I know a guy, a very smart, successful, educated guy. One weekend he bought himself a bunch of dope and booze. Twice that weekend he was rushed to the hospital. Twice he died and was resuscitated. After he got home the 2nd time, he told his self, you have got to stop drinking and drugging before it kills you.
  13. You people just make me tired. Is Allah not a god? So it already says that, if Allah is your God. If you believe in Satan as your God, then it says that. I can promise you, that if you asked everyone on here to write a description of the God they believe in and pray to, no two would be exactly the same. It says, God. So whatever God you worship, it is covered, cause it doesn't say which God. The only people that may not like it are athiests, and to you people I say, tough tooty. Get yourself a god like the rest of the world, even if you say science and logic are your Gods. Then
  14. Who knows? If I had a loved one knew was on heroin or pills, I would get some. Lets just say it saves 2 lives a year. That's two people who are alive who wouldn't be. Might not seem that big of a deal, but if it were your parent, kid, sibling or spouse, it would be.
  15. Due to the low cost, heroin has seen a huge increase in usage. The majority of the patients at the wife's hospital are heroin addicts. Good job CVS.
  16. Huh, who knew I was a Unitarian Universalist preacher all this time. I want my tax exemption!
  17. The wife isn't Catholic....that is until I say something negative about the Catholic Church, then she is Catholic again. (but when she goes to church, it's a Catholic one ) I don't have any more issues with the Catholic Church than I do with any other religious organization. That is one reason I don't belong to any of them, if I ain't a member, then it's none of my business how they run their deal. I don't agree with everything I've heard this Pope say, but from what little I know, he seems to be a decent man and that's pretty good. You can take the boy/girl out of the Catholic or
  18. If I understood it correctly, they believe (and I am generalizing) that it is up to each person to decide about their own religious and spiritual beliefs, or lack there of.
  19. NOT ADOPTED UNTIL 1956?? Well then, it can't mean anything, can it? It must not even be the motto of the USA! Hell, let's get rid of gay marriage, that wasn't made legal until 2015. Oh oh oh oh, we better get ride of the civil rights bill, that was 1964 (or '65). Crap, now we have to get ride of that pesky interracial marriage, that was 1968. What do you know about controversy, your certainly weren't around at that time. Children like you should take the cotton out of your ears and stick it in your mouth, then maybe you would learn something from your elders. Please do not rep
  20. Interesting. Never knew there was a church for "that". If I had any desire to attend a church, that might be my church. Although I abstain from any organized religion. (too many people involved and people tend to act like......people) Gotta show off that college education somewhere, huh.
  21. Did you miss the part where the official motto of this country is, "In God We Trust"? Like or not like the United States of America's motto, it is still the official motto of this country, so putting the official motto of the United States of America on the backs of police vehicles, should be no big deal. After all, it is carved into the House of Representatives and no one is having a hissy fit.
  22. Aaaaand I now remember why I bowed out of here. Thank you.
